Rockstar Games may finally be preparing to lift the curtain on more Grand Theft Auto 6 content. According to industry insider NateTheHate, fans could get a fresh look at the highly anticipated game in August, potentially including the long-awaited third trailer and the first official gameplay showcase.
While Rockstar has not confirmed the claim, the rumour has reignited excitement among fans waiting for more details ahead of the game’s November launch.
Insider hints at new GTA 6 reveal
The speculation began after NateTheHate, a leaker known for accurately reporting gaming industry developments, responded to questions from fans on X.
When asked about GTA 6, the insider said it was still too early to share Rockstar-related information but suggested more details would come closer to launch.
In a separate reply regarding the game’s gameplay reveal, the insider added, “I expect to see a fair bit of GTA6 next month.” Although the statement does not explicitly mention a new trailer, it has led many fans to believe Rockstar could unveil Trailer 3, gameplay footage or both during August.
Fans have waited more than a year
Rockstar released GTA 6 Trailer 2 in May 2025, showcasing cinematic footage captured on a PlayStation 5. Since then, the studio has remained largely silent, apart from publishing new screenshots when pre-orders opened earlier this year.
Those images offered a closer look at protagonists Lucia and Jason, along with vehicles, locations, weapons, outfits and cosmetic items that will be available through pre-order bonuses and the Ultimate Edition.
However, Rockstar is yet to show actual gameplay, making it one of the most anticipated reveals before launch.
GTA 6 launches in November
Grand Theft Auto 6 is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The game is already available for pre-order in Standard and Ultimate Edition variants through the PlayStation Store and Xbox Store. Physical editions will also be sold, although the retail box will contain a digital download code instead of a game disc.
Take the rumour with caution
Despite NateTheHate’s strong track record, Rockstar Games has not officially announced a third trailer or gameplay showcase. As with all leaks and rumours, fans should treat the information cautiously until Rockstar confirms its plans. With less than four months remaining before launch, however, many expect the studio to begin a larger marketing campaign soon, making an August reveal a realistic possibility.
