Vivo has reportedly started rolling out its Android 17-based OriginOS 7 update to the Vivo X300 Pro, Vivo X300 and Vivo X300 FE. The company had earlier said these X series phones would receive the new interface by the end of October.

The update is currently reaching a limited number of users through Vivo’s trial programme. User posts on the Vivo Community forum suggest that the rollout uses a release candidate build. This means the software may still have bugs before a wider stable release.

OriginOS 7 update details for Vivo X300 series

According to community reports, the Vivo X300 is receiving firmware version PD2527MF_EX_A_17.1.5.5.W30. The Vivo X300 FE is reportedly getting version PD2509F_EX_A_17.1.15.1.W30. Its update package is said to be around 4.78GB in size.

Meanwhile, the Vivo X300 Pro is reportedly receiving firmware version PD2502BF_EX_A_17.1.12.0.W30. Some users have also reported system bugs in the early release candidate. Since the rollout remains limited, the software experience could change before broader availability.

Users are advised to install the latest available software version on their phones before checking for OriginOS 7. As with other staged updates, availability may vary by device and region.

OriginOS 7 brings AI tools and new customisation

Vivo introduced OriginOS 7 globally in September. The software brings Fluid Motion, a refreshed Origin Design and Dynamic Translucent Material. These changes aim to deliver a smoother interface with updated visuals and animations.

The update also brings Jovi AI features to compatible devices. Other additions include AI Pet Pals, Origin Workbench and AI Cross-App Drag. Users can also customise the lock screen with the new Wiggle and Glint themes.

OriginOS 7 debuted on the Vivo X Fold 6, Vivo S2 FE and Vivo V80 smartphones. Vivo’s rollout plan also covers more devices in the coming months. The Vivo X200 Pro is confirmed to receive the update by mid-November.

Several Vivo T-series phones are expected to get OriginOS 7 in January 2027. The company plans to extend the update to remaining eligible handsets by February. Vivo has not announced an exact date for every model or market.
