Motorola has confirmed that the Moto Pad 70 will launch in India on August 9. Ahead of the launch, the company has revealed several key specifications through a dedicated Flipkart microsite, highlighting the tablet’s focus on productivity, entertainment and AI-powered features.
The upcoming Android tablet will support 5G connectivity, feature a 12.1-inch 2.5K display, and ship with the Moto Pen bundled in the box.
Moto Pad 70 launch date and availability
The Moto Pad 70 will launch in India on August 9 and will be available for purchase via Flipkart.
Motorola has confirmed that the tablet will measure just 6.29mm in thickness and weigh 530g, making it one of the slimmer tablets in its segment.
The company will also offer an optional Moto Folio Keyboard, which connects through magnetic snap-on support and pogo pins, turning the tablet into a productivity-focused device.
12.1-inch 2.5K display and Moto Pen support
The Moto Pad 70 features a 12.1-inch display with 2.5K resolution, 800 nits High Brightness Mode (HBM) and 96% DCI-P3 colour gamut, promising vibrant colours and improved outdoor visibility.
Motorola is bundling the Moto Pen with the tablet. The stylus supports 4,096 pressure levels, tilt detection and palm rejection, making it suitable for note-taking, sketching and creative tasks.
The tablet also includes AI-powered productivity features such as AI Rewrite, AI Summary, AI Continue Writing and Circle to Search. It also integrates Google’s Gemini AI assistant.
Dimensity 6400 chipset and large battery
Powering the Moto Pad 70 is the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor, designed to deliver smooth multitasking and reliable everyday performance.
The tablet packs a 10,200mAh battery with support for 68W TurboPower fast charging, allowing users to spend more time working or streaming and less time plugged into a charger.
For multimedia, Motorola has equipped the tablet with quad speakers backed by Dolby Atmos, offering an immersive audio experience for movies, games and music.
Android 16 and long-term software support
The Moto Pad 70 will ship with Android 16 out of the box.
Motorola has also promised OS upgrades up to Android 18 along with security updates until 2030., This will give buyers long-term software support that is still uncommon in the Android tablet segment.
The tablet will also support Smart Connect and Motorola’s ecosystem feature. The ecosystme feature enables seamless file transfers and cross-device experiences with compatible Motorola smartphones and PCs.
