Motorola has expanded its tablet portfolio in India with the launch of the Moto Pad 70 Groove. Priced at Rs. 36,999, the new tablet is aimed at users looking for an entertainment and productivity device, featuring a 12.1-inch 2.5K display, a 9-unit JBL Pro speaker system and a 10,200mAh battery.
The tablet also brings AI-powered software features, Android 16 and a built-in kickstand for hands-free use.
Moto Pad 70 Groove price in India and availability
The Moto Pad 70 Groove is available in a single 8GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration priced at Rs. 36,999. Customers using eligible bank cards can avail of an instant discount of Rs. 3,000, bringing the effective price down to Rs. 33,999. The tablet comes in a Pantone Blue Surf finish and will go on sale from August 7 via Flipkart, Motorola.in and leading retail stores across India.
12.1-inch 2.5K display and MediaTek chipset
The Moto Pad 70 Groove features a 12.1-inch LCD display with a 2.5K (2,560 x 1,600 pixels) resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel supports Dolby Vision, HDR10, the DCI-P3 colour gamut, up to 600 nits typical brightness and 800 nits High Brightness Mode.
Powering the tablet is the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. It ships with Android 16-based Hello UI and is promised to receive upgrades up to Android 18, along with four years of security updates.
AI features and powerful JBL audio
Motorola has bundled several AI-powered features, including Google Gemini, Circle to Search, AI Writing Tools, AI Notes, Smarter Reader and Smart Connect for cross-device file sharing and screen mirroring.
One of the tablet’s biggest highlights is its 9-unit JBL Pro speaker system, comprising four tweeters, three woofers and two passive radiators with dedicated bass units. The tablet also supports Dolby Atmos, Bluetooth Speaker Mode and Live Transcript with translation support for more than 40 languages.
Battery, cameras and design
The Moto Pad 70 Groove packs a 10,200mAh battery with 45W TurboPower charging. According to Motorola, the tablet can deliver up to 15 hours of YouTube streaming, while a 10-minute charge provides up to two hours of battery life. For photography, it includes a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera.
The tablet supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, USB Type-C 2.0 and 4K video playback. It does not include a 3.5mm headphone jack. Built with an all-metal body, the Moto Pad 70 Groove measures 6.8mm thick and weighs 775g. It also features a built-in 360-degree Kickstand 2.0, supporting Lean, Stand, Theatre and Hanging modes in both portrait and landscape orientations. Motorola bundles a Moto Clear Case with the tablet.
