Camera Tracks Your Teeth While You Brush

At the centre of the CameraJet is a 100,000-pixel macro-lens camera. Dyson says its machine-learning system can analyse 28 live images every second.

The system can reportedly detect a gap within 100 milliseconds. A target lens expands the camera’s field of view, while a stroboscopic light helps illuminate the inside of the mouth.

Once the system identifies an area between teeth, the CameraJet can direct its flossing function towards it. The toothbrush uses a conical jet to spray mouthrinse and help remove plaque from between teeth.

An RFID tag tracks brush-head usage and replacement intervals. Dyson also offers a sensitive brush-head option.

The CameraJet connects to the MyDyson app through 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
