JBL Professional has expanded its studio audio portfolio with the 3 Series MkIII studio monitors and the new 310S MkIII powered subwoofer. The refreshed range includes the 305P MkIII, 306P MkIII and 308P MkIII. These monitors target home studios, project studios and professional audio setups that need accurate playback.

The new models bring redesigned high- and low-frequency drivers, an updated JBL Image Control Waveguide and Class D amplification. JBL says the acoustic changes improve stereo imaging and listening coverage while reducing distortion. The company has not announced prices yet.

JBL 3 Series MkIII monitors: Key specifications

The JBL 305P MkIII is the smallest model in the new range. It uses a 5-inch two-way configuration and offers low-frequency extension down to 45Hz. The monitor delivers a peak sound pressure level of 109dB and uses 86W of Class D amplification.

The JBL 306P MkIII steps up to a 6.5-inch two-way design. It offers a 43Hz low-frequency extension, a peak sound pressure level of 112dB and 110W of Class D amplification. JBL positions this model for project studios that need more output and deeper bass response.

At the top of the monitor range, the JBL 308P MkIII features an 8-inch two-way configuration. It extends down to 41Hz and reaches a peak sound pressure level of 113dB. It also uses 110W of Class D amplification.

All three monitors feature JBL’s front-firing Slipstream port design. They also include balanced Neutrik combo inputs and selectable +4dBu/-10dBV input sensitivity. This helps connect the monitors with studio interfaces, mixers and other playback equipment.

Room tuning and subwoofer features

JBL has added four one-touch room controls to the 3 Series MkIII monitors. These controls provide 81 corrective EQ combinations. Users can adjust the response to suit their room and speaker placement. The full-range models also include integrated M4 mounting points for flexible installation.

The monitors support stereo, 2.1, surround and immersive audio configurations. Users can therefore build a setup around their room size and production needs. The new JBL 310S MkIII subwoofer adds a dedicated low-frequency component to these systems.

The JBL 310S MkIII is a powered subwoofer with a 10-inch driver. It offers low-frequency extension down to 26Hz and a peak sound pressure level of 116dB. Its Class D amplifier delivers 300W of power. JBL designed it for stereo, 2.1, surround and immersive monitoring systems.

JBL 3 Series MkIII availability

The JBL 3 Series MkIII monitors and 310S MkIII subwoofer became available across Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and Africa from November 3, 2026. North American availability is scheduled to begin on January 7, 2027. JBL has not shared regional pricing or India-specific availability details yet.

The refreshed range focuses on studio monitoring rather than casual listening. Its three monitor sizes give creators options for different room dimensions and output requirements. The 310S MkIII also gives users a route to stronger low-frequency monitoring. Pricing and local availability will determine how the new lineup competes in each market.
