Adobe has launched a new plugin for ChatGPT that brings its creative and productivity tools directly into OpenAI’s AI assistant. The new Adobe plugin allows users to create, edit and manage images, videos, designs and documents without leaving ChatGPT, combining more than 70 Adobe tools into a single workflow.

The company says the plugin works across ChatGPT Work and Codex, allowing users to move from brainstorming ideas to producing finished content within one conversation.

One plugin brings Adobe’s creative suite into ChatGPT

Instead of switching between multiple Adobe apps, users can activate the Adobe plugin in ChatGPT and describe what they want to create. The plugin automatically selects the appropriate Adobe tools in the background to complete the task.

The integration includes capabilities from Adobe Express, Photoshop, Firefly, Premiere Pro, Acrobat, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign and Adobe Stock, among others.

According to Adobe, users can continue editing projects in native Adobe applications whenever they need advanced creative controls or pixel-level precision.

Create images, videos and documents without leaving ChatGPT

Adobe says the plugin supports a wide range of creative workflows.

Users can edit multiple campaign images with a consistent visual style, generate product mockups, transform long-form videos into YouTube Shorts or Instagram Reels, customise design templates, and convert spreadsheets into professionally formatted PDFs, catalogues or event badges.

The plugin also saves completed projects directly to Creative Cloud for users who sign in with their Adobe accounts.

Guest access available, more features with Adobe account

Users can install the Adobe plugin through ChatGPT’s Plugins section and begin using it immediately as a guest.

However, signing in with an Adobe account unlocks additional generative AI features, Creative Cloud integration and the ability to save projects across sessions.

Expanding Adobe’s AI ecosystem

Adobe says the ChatGPT plugin builds on its earlier integrations with AI assistants and is part of a broader strategy to make its creative tools available across multiple AI platforms.

The company has already expanded support to Claude and Microsoft Copilot, while integrations for Gemini and Slack are expected to arrive in the future.

OpenAI Product Lead for the ChatGPT Ecosystem, Vibhor Chhabra, said Adobe’s creative and productivity tools help users express creativity and improve productivity, adding that the partnership expands what ChatGPT users can accomplish within conversations.
