Adidas has expanded its running portfolio in India with the launch of the Hyperboost Edge. Priced at ₹19,999, the new road running shoe combines race-inspired technology with features designed for everyday training. The company says the Hyperboost Edge delivers lightweight cushioning, high energy return, and enhanced comfort without using a carbon plate, making it suitable for daily runs as well as faster training sessions.
The shoe is currently available in a Grey color option through Adidas’ official online store, with more colorways expected to arrive later.
What Makes the Adidas Hyperboost Edge Different?
The biggest highlight of the Adidas Hyperboost Edge is its new Hyperboost Pro midsole foam. According to Adidas, the foam borrows technology from its elite racing shoes but has been tuned specifically for everyday runners.
Unlike many modern performance shoes that rely on carbon plates, the Hyperboost Edge follows a plate-free design. Adidas says this allows the shoe to move more naturally with a runner’s stride while still providing responsive cushioning and efficient energy return.
The shoe weighs 255 grams and features a 45mm rearfoot stack along with a 6mm heel-to-toe drop. These specifications are intended to offer a balanced ride for both long-distance training and faster-paced workouts.
Which Technologies Are Included?
The Hyperboost Edge uses Adidas’ Primeweave upper, a lightweight woven material designed to provide a secure fit while maintaining breathability during runs.
The heel section also includes cushioning pods that improve comfort and stability around the rear foot, particularly during longer training sessions.
On the outsole, Adidas has introduced its Lighttraxion technology, inspired by the brand’s Adizero racing lineup. The outsole is designed to improve heel-to-toe grip while reducing unnecessary weight, helping runners maintain traction across different road conditions.
The shoe also introduces a fresh design language. Instead of placing the iconic Three Stripes on the upper, Adidas has integrated the branding directly onto the oversized midsole, giving the Hyperboost Edge a distinctive appearance.
What Does Adidas Say About Performance?
According to Adidas, the Hyperboost Pro foam was developed through laboratory testing and consumer research conducted with the University of Cologne.
The company says a study involving 60 runners produced encouraging feedback. Around 73 percent of participants preferred the shoe’s energy return compared to their existing running shoes, while 77 percent reported softer cushioning. More than half of the runners also rated the Hyperboost Edge as more comfortable overall.
These findings are based on company-conducted research and are intended to highlight the shoe’s performance characteristics.

The Adidas Hyperboost Edge is now available in India for ₹19,999 through the company’s official online store. It launches initially in a Grey colorway, with additional color options expected to roll out in the coming weeks.
