Vivo X300 Ultra has officially launched in India, bringing one of the most camera-focused smartphone setups seen this year. The new flagship combines a 200-megapixel Zeiss camera system, Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, and DSLR-inspired accessories aimed at mobile photography enthusiasts.

The launch also signals Vivo’s push deeper into the ultra-premium smartphone market. This time, however, the company is not only selling a phone. It is building a complete imaging ecosystem around it.

What Makes the Vivo X300 Ultra Different?

The biggest highlight of the Vivo X300 Ultra is its Zeiss-tuned triple rear camera setup. Vivo has equipped the phone with a 200-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization. Alongside it sits another 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera offering 3.7x optical zoom and up to 105x digital zoom.

There is also a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera for landscape and wide-angle shots. On the front, the device carries a 50-megapixel selfie camera capable of recording 4K video.

Interestingly, Vivo is also pushing modular photography with the X300 Ultra. The smartphone supports the Vivo Zeiss Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra. The accessory delivers a 400mm equivalent focal length for long-distance photography. Vivo is also selling an Imaging Grip Kit that adds a more camera-like shooting experience.

This approach makes the Vivo X300 Ultra stand out from typical flagship launches. Instead of only competing on megapixels or AI features, Vivo is leaning heavily into professional-grade mobile imaging.

How Powerful Is the Vivo X300 Ultra?

Under the hood, the Vivo X300 Ultra runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor paired with an Adreno 840 GPU. Vivo has also added its VS1+ imaging chip to improve photography and image processing tasks.

The phone ships with 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage. That combination positions it among the most powerful Android smartphones currently available in India.

The device runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. Vivo has also packed in several flagship-level connectivity options including 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GPS, and USB Type-C support.

Meanwhile, the smartphone includes a large 6,600mAh battery with support for 100W wired and 40W wireless charging. That is notable because premium camera phones often struggle to balance battery life with high-end imaging hardware.

What Display and Design Features Does It Offer?

The Vivo X300 Ultra features a 6.82-inch 2K AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,440 x 3,168 pixels. It supports a 144Hz refresh rate and HDR playback, making it suitable for gaming, streaming, and photography previews.

Vivo claims the display delivers a 94.49 percent screen-to-body ratio. The panel also supports a 300Hz touch sampling rate for faster response times.

The smartphone measures 8.19mm in thickness and weighs around 232g. It comes in Eclipse Black and Victory Green color variants.

While the design remains premium and minimal, the large rear camera module clearly signals the phone’s photography-first identity.

Vivo X300 Ultra Price in India and Availability

The Vivo X300 Ultra price in India starts at Rs. 1,59,999 for the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage variant.

The optional Vivo Zeiss Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra costs Rs. 27,999, while the Imaging Grip Kit is priced at Rs. 11,999.

Vivo has also introduced bundled photography kits. One package combines the phone with the telephoto extender and imaging grip. Another “Photographer Kit” adds an extra 200mm equivalent telephoto extender lens.

Customers can also get a 10 percent instant cashback on eligible card transactions along with a one-year extended warranty offer.

Pre-orders for the Vivo X300 Ultra are now live through Vivo’s online store, Amazon, and Flipkart. Sales in India begin on May 14 through online and offline retail channels.

In the End

The Vivo X300 Ultra launch reflects a growing trend in the smartphone industry. Brands are no longer only competing on raw performance. Instead, they are trying to turn smartphones into specialized creative tools.

With its external telephoto system, imaging grip, dual 200-megapixel cameras, and flagship hardware, the Vivo X300 Ultra enters a market increasingly shaped by content creators, mobile filmmakers, and AI-powered photography workflows.

At the same time, the pricing places it directly against other ultra-premium Android flagships and even some professional compact camera setups. That makes the Vivo X300 Ultra one of the most closely watched smartphone launches in India this month.
