Vivo has confirmed the global launch of the Vivo V80 Lite. The smartphone will debut in Malaysia on September 3 with a 10,000mAh battery. This will make it the company’s first globally launched smartphone with a battery of this capacity.

The company has also revealed the phone’s design and colour options. However, Vivo has not confirmed an India launch or the complete specifications yet.

Vivo V80 Lite Design and Battery

Thephone will feature a flat frame and a flat rear panel. Vivo has shown the phone in black, green and pink colour options.

A square camera module sits on the rear. It houses a 50-megapixel primary camera.

However, the battery is the biggest highlight. The Vivo V80 Lite will feature a 10,000mAh cell. Vivo has previously used a battery of this size in the Vivo Y600 Pro in China.

The V80 Lite will become the company’s first globally launched phone with a 10,000mAh battery.

Vivo V80 Lite Specifications Could Include AMOLED Display

Vivo has not confirmed the complete specifications yet. However, previous certifications and leaks suggest several possible features.

The phone could use a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It could also feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX852 primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

Other tipped features include Aura Light, stereo speakers and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The phone could also offer IP68 and IP69 protection.

The chipset remains uncertain. Reports have mentioned both the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Turbo and Dimensity 7300e.

Charging details also remain unclear. Earlier reports pointed to 90W charging. However, certification listings have suggested 44W charging.

India Launch Remains Unconfirmed

The Vivo V80 Lite has previously appeared on an Indian retailer’s Instagram page. This hinted at a possible India launch.

However, Vivo has not confirmed an India launch date yet. The design shown for the Malaysian model also differs from the earlier Indian teaser.

The phone’s 10,000mAh battery could give it a strong advantage in the mid-range segment. However, its final weight, thickness and charging speed will determine how practical the large battery is for everyday users.
