Vivo has expanded its S50 lineup in China with the new S50t Vitality Edition. The smartphone combines a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset with a 120Hz AMOLED display and a large 6,500mAh battery.

The camera setup also stands out. Vivo has equipped the handset with a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera alongside a 50-megapixel primary sensor.

Vivo S50t Vitality Edition Price and Availability

The Vivo S50t Vitality Edition starts at CNY 3,299, which converts to around Rs. 46,700, for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant.

The 12GB RAM and 512GB storage model costs CNY 3,699, or around Rs. 52,300. Meanwhile, the top-end 16GB RAM and 512GB storage variant costs CNY 3,999, roughly Rs. 56,600.

Vivo offers the phone in Space Black, Inspiration Purple, Confession White and Serene Blue colour options. The company is currently selling the handset through its online store in China.

Vivo has not provided details about an India launch in the supplied information.

120Hz AMOLED Display and Snapdragon 8s Gen 3

The Vivo S50t Vitality Edition features a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 1,260×2,750-pixel resolution. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 2,000Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate.

The panel also supports HDR and the P3 colour gamut. It offers a pixel density of 459ppi.

Under the hood, the phone uses Qualcomm’s 4nm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. The processor works with an Adreno 735 GPU and up to 16GB of RAM.

Vivo offers up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The phone can also use up to 12GB of additional virtual RAM through its onboard storage. The handset runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.

50MP Periscope Camera Takes Centre Stage

The Vivo S50t Vitality Edition carries a triple-camera setup on the rear. The primary camera uses a 50-megapixel sensor with an f/1.88 aperture and optical image stabilisation. An 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera sits alongside it.

The third camera is a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto sensor. It has an f/2.65 aperture and also supports optical image stabilisation. For selfies and video calls, the phone features a 50-megapixel front camera with an f/2.0 aperture and autofocus.

This gives the S50t Vitality Edition a relatively camera-focused setup, particularly for users who want a dedicated telephoto camera.

6,500mAh Battery With 90W Charging

The smartphone packs a 6,500mAh battery, which is one of its key hardware features. Vivo supports 90W wired fast charging to replenish the large battery. For connectivity, the phone supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and USB Type-C.

The S50t Vitality Edition also features a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and Face Wake facial recognition. The phone measures 157.52×74.33mm and weighs between 196g and 197g depending on the colour variant.

Overall, the Vivo S50t Vitality Edition focuses on a combination of performance, camera hardware and battery capacity. Its Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, 50-megapixel periscope camera, 120Hz AMOLED display and 6,500mAh battery give it a strong feature set in its segment. For now, however, Vivo has only announced the phone for China.
