Vivo has launched the Vivo T5 5G in India as the latest addition to its T-series smartphone lineup. The new smartphone focuses on a combination of a large battery, curved AMOLED display and performance hardware.

The biggest highlight is its 7,050mAh battery, which Vivo claims can deliver around 22 hours of video streaming on a single charge. The phone also supports 44W wired fast charging.

For buyers who prioritise battery life, the large capacity could make the Vivo T5 5G particularly interesting. At the same time, Vivo has not compromised on the display, with the phone featuring a 1.5K curved AMOLED panel.

Vivo T5 5G Price in India and Sale Date

The Vivo T5 5G price in India starts at Rs. 34,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The other configurations are priced as follows:

  • 6GB + 128GB: Rs. 34,999
  • 8GB + 128GB: Rs. 39,999
  • 8GB + 256GB: Rs. 44,999
  • 12GB + 256GB: Rs. 49,999

Vivo is offering an instant bank discount of up to Rs. 4,000 with Axis Bank, SBI and HDFC Bank cards.

The Vivo T5 5G will go on sale in India from September 9 via Flipkart. It will be available in Royal Bronze and Silver Green finishes.

144Hz Curved AMOLED Display

The Vivo T5 5G features a 6.83-inch 1.5K 3D curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,260×2,800 pixels. The panel supports a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, which should make scrolling and compatible gaming feel smoother.

The display also offers up to 2,000 nits peak brightness, 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut and a 300Hz touch sampling rate. In addition, it supports HDR10+ and offers a pixel density of 449ppi.

Vivo claims the phone carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.

MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo Powers the Phone

Under the hood, the Vivo T5 5G uses the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo chipset. The processor is paired with MediaTek’s NPU 850, LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

The chipset features four efficiency cores clocked at 2.0GHz and four performance cores reaching up to 2.6GHz. Vivo claims the phone has scored more than 1.2 million points on AnTuTu.

The smartphone runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. Vivo promises three OS upgrades and five years of security updates.

50MP Camera With OIS

For photography, the Vivo T5 5G gets a dual-camera setup on the rear. It includes a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary sensor with an f/1.79 aperture and optical image stabilisation.

The main camera is accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide camera. On the front, the phone features a 32MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture. The smartphone can also record videos in up to 4K resolution.

7,050mAh Battery and Connectivity

The 7,050mAh battery is arguably the Vivo T5 5G’s biggest selling point. Vivo claims it can provide around 22 hours of video streaming. The battery supports 44W wired fast charging.

Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4 and USB Type-C. The phone also supports GPS, NavIC, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou and QZSS.

The Vivo T5 5G measures 164.42×75.25×7.99mm and weighs around 199g.

Overall, the Vivo T5 5G brings together a large battery, a high-refresh-rate curved AMOLED display and a Dimensity 7500 Turbo chipset. With a starting price of Rs. 34,999, it enters a competitive segment where its battery capacity and display could help it stand out.
