Vivo Buds Launched in India: Check Features, Battery Life and More

News in Short

  • Vivo Buds have launched in India at Rs. 1,999.
  • The earbuds offer up to 50 hours of total battery life with the charging case.
  • Each earbud can deliver up to 12 hours of music playback.
  • They feature 10mm dynamic drivers and DeepX 4.0 sound effects.

Vivo has launched its new Vivo Buds true wireless earbuds in India at Rs. 1,999. The earbuds are available through the Vivo India e-store, Flipkart and leading retail outlets.

The Vivo Buds come in two colour options: Basalt Black and Nilgiri Green.

With this launch, Vivo is also expanding its presence in the IoT segment beyond smartphones. The earbuds focus on battery life, audio, calling and gaming features while retaining a relatively lightweight design.

Vivo Buds features

The Vivo Buds use 10mm dynamic drivers and come with Vivo’s DeepX 4.0 sound effects. Users get options such as Mega Bass, Clear Voice, Clear High Pitch and Audiobook Listening.

There is also a 10-band equaliser, allowing users to adjust the audio output based on their preferences.

For a more immersive listening experience, the earbuds support Spatial Audio with four modes: Theatre, Concert Hall, Studio and Live Concert. However, Spatial Audio requires a compatible Vivo or iQOO smartphone.

AI features focus on calls

Vivo has equipped the earbuds with four microphones, with two microphones on each earbud. The company has added Dual-Mic AI Call Noise Cancellation to help reduce surrounding sounds during calls.

A dedicated Wind Noise Reduction Chamber is also designed to minimise the impact of wind during outdoor calls. This makes call quality one of the key areas Vivo is targeting with the new earbuds.

Low-latency gaming and multipoint

The Vivo Buds support Bluetooth 6.1 and multipoint connectivity, allowing them to stay connected to two devices. For gamers, the earbuds can offer latency as low as 42ms when paired with compatible Vivo and iQOO smartphones.

The earbuds also support Vivo Fast Pair, Find My Vivo Buds, voice assistant access and Remote Camera Control on compatible devices. Users can customise the touch controls for functions such as playback, calls and track selection.

One of the more playful additions is a pet-themed animation that appears during pairing on compatible Vivo smartphones. The earbuds can also work with smartphones from other ecosystems. However, some features are limited to compatible Vivo and iQOO devices.

Vivo Buds battery life

Battery life is one of the biggest selling points of the Vivo Buds. Vivo claims up to 50 hours of total playback when the earbuds are used with the charging case. Each earbud can provide up to 12 hours of music playback on a single charge.

The earbuds can also get up to four hours of playback from a claimed 10-minute charge. For calls, Vivo rates the earbuds for up to seven hours of calling on a single charge.

Lightweight design and durability

Each Vivo Buds earbud weighs approximately 3.8g, making them lightweight for extended listening. Vivo provides multiple ear tip sizes in the box. The earbuds also carry an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance. It is worth noting that the IP54 rating applies to the earbuds and not the charging case. At Rs. 1,999, the Vivo Buds target buyers looking for a feature-packed TWS option without moving into the higher price segments.
