Samsung has expanded its foldable smartphone lineup with the launch of the Galaxy Z Flip 8. Succeeding last year’s Galaxy Z Flip 7, the latest clamshell foldable brings Qualcomm’s newest flagship processor, a larger battery. It also features Android 17-based One UI 9 while retaining the compact design that has made the Flip series popular.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 Price and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 starts at $1,200 (approximately Rs. 1.15 lakh) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB variant.
Samsung is also offering a 12GB + 512GB model. The foldable is available in Cream, Graphite, and Pink colour options, while Mint is exclusive to Samsung’s online store.
Pre-orders have begun in select global markets. Buyers will receive a six-month Google AI Pro subscription with 5TB of cloud storage. Customers purchasing through Samsung’s official website and enrolling in Samsung Care+ will also receive the first three months of coverage free of charge.
Samsung has not yet announced the India price or availability.
Bigger Cover Display for Everyday Tasks
The Galaxy Z Flip 8 retains its compact clamshell design. It also offers a more capable 4.1-inch AMOLED cover display with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. The outer screen is designed to let users quickly check notifications, reply to messages, control music, and access apps without unfolding the phone.

50MP Camera With 4K Video Recording
For photography, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 features a dual rear camera system consisting of a 50MP primary sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. A 10MP front-facing camera handles selfies and video calls.
The camera setup supports 4K video recording at up to 60fps, allowing users to capture high-resolution videos directly from the foldable.
