The Samsung Galaxy Jump 5 is now official in South Korea. Samsung has launched the smartphone in collaboration with telecom operator KT Corporation, making it a carrier-exclusive model in its home market. While it carries a new name, the device shares the same specifications, design, and features as the recently launched Galaxy A27 5G, which is already available in India and several global markets.
The handset combines a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, a 120Hz Super AMOLED display, Android 16, and a triple rear camera setup led by a 50MP sensor.

The Samsung Galaxy Jump 5 is the latest addition to Samsung’s carrier-exclusive Jump lineup. Instead of introducing new hardware, Samsung has repackaged the Galaxy A27 5G for KT customers in South Korea.
The phone runs Android 16 with One UI 8.5 and is expected to receive a software support policy similar to the Galaxy A27 5G, which is promised six Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates.

Samsung has priced the Galaxy Jump 5 at KRW 545,600, which converts to roughly Rs. 34,000.
The company has not yet disclosed the RAM and storage variants. Sales begin on July 3 through KT’s online store in South Korea.
The smartphone is available in Black, Green, and Pink color options that closely resemble the Black, Light Green, and Light Pink finishes offered on the Galaxy A27 5G.
What specifications does the Galaxy Jump 5 offer?
The Samsung Galaxy Jump 5 features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,080 × 2,340 pixels. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate, reaches up to 800 nits of peak brightness, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+.
Under the hood, Samsung has equipped the phone with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor built on a 4nm process. The chipset is paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, although Samsung has yet to confirm the memory configurations.
The smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports 25W wired fast charging via USB Type-C. Security is handled by a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Cameras and software
Photography is handled by a triple rear camera setup led by a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization. The main camera is accompanied by a 5MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro camera.
For selfies and video calls, Samsung includes a 12MP front-facing camera.
The phone ships with Android 16-based One UI 8.5 out of the box, matching Samsung’s latest software experience.
