The Poco C81 has launched in India at ₹10,999 as the latest entry in the company’s budget smartphone lineup. The device arrives alongside the Poco C81x, priced at ₹9,999. Both phones bring large displays, entry-level performance hardware, and long battery life to the sub-₹11,000 segment.
The new models will go on sale starting April 27 at 12 pm via Flipkart. With extended software support and large batteries, the launch strengthens Poco’s presence in the affordable smartphone category.
Price and availability of Poco C81 series
The C81 comes in a single 4GB RAM and 64GB storage configuration priced at ₹10,999. Meanwhile, the C81x ships with 3GB RAM and 64GB storage at ₹9,999.
The Poco C81 will be available in Elite Black, Ice Blue, and Sunset Gold color options. However, the Poco C81x drops the Sunset Gold variant and ships in two color choices instead.
Both smartphones will be available for purchase via Flipkart starting April 27.
What display and software does Poco C81 offer?
The Poco C81 features a 6.9-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. It also supports a 240Hz touch sampling rate and reaches up to 800 nits peak brightness. Meanwhile, the Poco C81x includes a slightly smaller 6.88-inch HD+ display with up to 650 nits brightness and the same refresh rate support.
Both phones carry TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light, Flicker-Free, and Circadian-Friendly certifications.
On the software side, the Poco C81 runs Android 16-based HyperOS 3. In comparison, the Poco C81x ships with Android 15. Poco promises four years of OS updates for the Poco C81 and two years for the Poco C81x. However, both devices will receive six years of security updates.
How powerful is the Poco C81 hardware?
The Poco C81 and Poco C81x run on the octa-core Unisoc T7250 chipset paired with an ARM Mali-G57 GPU clocked at 1.8GHz. Both devices include LPDDR4x RAM and support storage expansion up to 2TB via microSD cards.
For photography, the Poco C81 includes a dual rear camera setup led by a 13-megapixel primary sensor. The Poco C81x instead features a single 13-megapixel rear camera. Both smartphones offer an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls and support video recording at up to 1080p at 30fps.
The devices also carry an IP52 rating for dust and splash resistance.
What battery and connectivity features are included?
Battery capacity stands out as a key specification difference between the two phones. The C81 packs a 6,300mAh battery, while the C81x includes a 5,200mAh battery. Both models support 15W wired charging and 7.5W wired reverse charging.
Connectivity features include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C, GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, and QZSS support. Both phones also feature side-mounted fingerprint sensors.
The C81 weighs about 208g and measures 8.15mm in thickness. Meanwhile, the C81x weighs approximately 193g with a slightly thicker profile.
With extended update support, large batteries, and high refresh rate displays, the Poco C81 expands options in India’s entry-level smartphone segment.
