Foldable phones are no longer limited to a handful of premium brands, and Apple and Google now bring very different ideas to the segment. The iPhone Duo marks Apple’s first entry into foldables, while the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold builds on Google’s growing experience with large-screen phones. Both offer premium hardware, powerful AI features, large inner displays and flagship cameras, but their priorities are quite different. The iPhone Duo starts at Rs. 2,99,900 in India, while the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold costs Rs. 1,86,999, creating a significant price gap between the two. In this comparison, we look at their design, displays, performance, cameras, software, battery and pricing to see how the two foldables stack up.

iPhone Duo vs Pixel 11 Pro Fold: Design

Both phones take the book-style foldable approach, but their physical designs are quite different.

The iPhone Duo uses a Grade 5 titanium construction and gets an IP68 rating. Its 5.4-inch outer display keeps the closed phone relatively compact. Apple also uses Ceramic Shield protection and a precision hinge designed around durability.

The Pixel 11 Pro Fold, meanwhile, weighs 239 grams and measures 10.1mm when folded. It uses a spacecraft-grade aluminium frame, composite matte back and a multi-alloy steel hinge. It also carries an IP68 rating.

The Pixel is lighter than the iPhone Duo, which weighs 254 grams, according to comparison data. However, Apple’s titanium construction and compact outer display give it a different approach to portability.

This is one of the closest categories.

The iPhone Duo gets a 7.6-inch inner Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion, Always-On support and up to 3,000 nits peak outdoor brightness. Its nano-texture finish also reduces glare and reflections while making the crease less noticeable.

The Pixel 11 Pro Fold goes bigger with an 8-inch Super Actua Flex inner display. It has a 2,076×2,152 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,600 nits peak brightness. The 6.5-inch cover display also supports 120Hz and reaches 3,600 nits peak brightness.

The Pixel therefore offers more screen real estate. Its displays are also brighter on paper.

However, the iPhone Duo’s nano-texture panel has an advantage when reflections and crease visibility matter. The Pixel’s crease remains more noticeable during everyday use.

Performance

The performance story is more straightforward on paper.

The iPhone Duo is powered by Apple’s A20 Pro. It uses a six-core CPU, seven-core GPU and dual 16-core Neural Engine. Apple also pairs it with a custom vapor chamber for sustained performance.

The Pixel 11 Pro Fold uses Google’s Tensor G6 with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. In everyday use, the phone remains responsive, and AI functions work smoothly.

However, the benchmark results in the Pixel 11 Pro Fold review show a sizeable gap. It scored 2,281 in Geekbench single-core and 5,779 in multi-core. Its AnTuTu score was 1,369,819.

The review also recorded 3,510 single-core, 9,456 multi-core and 21,287 GPU scores for the Galaxy Z Fold 8.

There is no directly comparable benchmark result for the iPhone Duo in the supplied sources. Still, Apple’s A20 Pro is positioned as a performance-focused flagship chip.

In testing, the Pixel’s main camera delivered strong detail and natural colours. Night Sight also performed well. The 5x telephoto adds useful reach, while portrait shots benefit from good subject separation.

The iPhone Duo does have some unique foldable camera features. These include Smart Take, Duo Preview and rear-camera selfies using the outer display.

The dedicated 5x telephoto, ultrawide with autofocus and 30x Super Zoom give the Pixel a more versatile camera system.

Software, AI and Multitasking

The two phones take very different approaches here.

The iPhone Duo runs iOS 27, which has been redesigned around its folding form factor. Split View lets users run two apps side by side. You can also open two windows of the same app and save app pairs for later.

Apple Intelligence and Siri AI are also deeply integrated. Siri can use personal context and onscreen awareness, while Apple uses on-device processing and Private Cloud Compute for AI workloads.

The Pixel 11 Pro Fold runs Android 17 and receives seven years of OS, security and Pixel Drop updates. Gemini Intelligence, Gemini Nano, Gemini Live and Gemini Apps are integrated throughout the software.

Google also adds features such as Circle to Search, Live Translate, Call Assist, HiLight and Rambler.

Google’s AI integration feels particularly natural, while Apple’s software has been more specifically adapted around the foldable form factor.

Battery and Charging

Apple does not disclose the battery capacity of the iPhone Duo in its official material. Instead, it highlights usage figures.

The company claims up to 31 hours of video playback on the inner display and up to 44 hours on the outer display. It can reach 50 percent charge in around 20 minutes.

The Pixel 11 Pro Fold has a 4,806mAh battery and promises more than 24 hours of battery life. It supports 30W wired charging and 25W Qi2.2 wireless charging.

The Pixel’s 25W wireless charging is an improvement over its predecessor. However, 30W wired charging remains conservative for a phone at this price.

This is the biggest difference between the two phones.

The iPhone Duo starts at Rs. 2,99,900 in India with 256GB storage. Its 512GB version costs Rs. 3,24,900.

The Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold costs Rs. 1,86,999 and comes with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.

That puts the starting iPhone Duo at more than Rs. 1.1 lakh above the Pixel 11 Pro Fold.

The Pixel also gives buyers twice the base storage while costing substantially less.
