The Huawei FreeClip 2 S has been launched globally alongside the Huawei Pura 90s series and MatePad Air 2026. The latest open-ear earbuds bring upgraded comfort, AI-powered audio features, Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity, and up to 38 hours of total battery life with the charging case. Huawei is also introducing improved sound quality through dual drivers and advanced voice processing aimed at users who want an immersive listening experience without blocking their ears.
The earbuds are now available in select global markets, including Malaysia, Europe, and the UK.
Huawei FreeClip 2 S price and availability
The Huawei FreeClip 2 S is priced at MYR 899 (around Rs. 21,200) in Malaysia. In Europe, the earbuds retail for EUR 229 (approximately Rs. 25,200), while UK pricing is set at GBP 199 (roughly Rs. 25,600).
Huawei is offering the earbuds in two color options: Deepsea Blue and Space Silver. They are currently available through Huawei’s regional online stores.
What is new in the Huawei FreeClip 2 S?
Huawei has retained its signature open-ear C-bridge design but refined it for better comfort. The company says the new liquid silicone bridge is 25 percent softer than the previous generation, making the earbuds more comfortable during extended use.
The design is based on data collected from more than 10,000 ear samples. It also supports automatic left and right ear detection, allowing users to wear either earbud without manually checking orientation.
Unlike conventional in-ear earbuds, the FreeClip 2 S is designed to let users stay aware of their surroundings while listening to music or taking calls.
AI-powered audio takes center stage
One of the biggest upgrades is the inclusion of an AI-backed neural processing unit dedicated to audio and voice processing.
Huawei says the earbuds support adaptive volume adjustment, adaptive voice enhancement, and AI-powered call noise reduction using a triple-microphone setup. The earbuds also feature reverse sound wave technology that helps reduce sound leakage, making private listening more secure in public environments.
For entertainment, the FreeClip 2 S supports spatial audio with dynamic head tracking, creating a more immersive listening experience while watching videos or playing games. Users can further personalize the sound using a 10-band equalizer and multiple preset audio profiles available through the Huawei Audio Connect app.
Dual drivers and Bluetooth 6.0
Huawei has equipped the FreeClip 2 S with dual 10.8mm dual-diaphragm drivers housed inside a compact acoustic system. According to the company, the updated hardware delivers stronger bass response and more balanced sound across a frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz.
Connectivity is handled by Bluetooth 6.0, allowing simultaneous pairing with two devices. The Huawei Audio Connect app also offers battery monitoring, customizable controls, Find Device support, and seamless device switching. Playback can be managed using tap, swipe, and press-and-hold gestures, while head gestures can be used to answer or reject incoming calls.
Battery life and durability
Battery life is another major highlight of the Huawei FreeClip 2 S. Huawei claims the earbuds deliver up to nine hours of continuous playback on a single charge and up to 38 hours with the charging case.
A quick 10-minute charge provides up to three hours of music playback. The earbuds support both USB Type-C charging and wireless charging up to 3W. For durability, the earbuds carry an IP57 rating for dust and water resistance, while the charging case is rated IP54.
Final thoughts
With the Huawei FreeClip 2 S, Huawei is strengthening its premium audio lineup by combining an open-ear design with AI-powered features, Bluetooth 6.0, spatial audio, and long battery life. The latest earbuds target users who want all-day comfort, situational awareness, and intelligent audio features without sacrificing sound quality.
