Asus has expanded its laptop portfolio in India with five new Vivobook models. The lineup targets users looking for different combinations of performance, portability and flexibility.
The new range includes the Vivobook S14, Vivobook S16, Vivobook 14 Flip, Vivobook S14 Flip and Vivobook 16. Asus has used Intel, AMD and Qualcomm processors across these machines.
The company has also focused on AI capabilities. Depending on the model, the laptops offer dedicated NPUs designed to handle AI workloads.
Prices start at Rs. 89,990 for the Vivobook 16. The Vivobook S14 starts at Rs. 1,18,990, while the S16 starts at Rs. 1,21,990. The convertible Vivobook 14 Flip costs from Rs. 1,79,990. Meanwhile, the Vivobook S14 Flip starts at Rs. 1,09,990.
Asus has also launched the Wireless Silent Mouse MW103 at Rs. 649.
Vivobook S14 and S16 focus on AI performance
The Vivobook S14 and S16 are powered by up to Intel Core 7 Series 3 processors. Asus claims up to 17 TOPS of AI performance from these laptops.
The S14 comes with a 14-inch display, while the S16 gets a larger 16-inch panel. Both use Full-HD+ IPS displays with a 16:10 aspect ratio and 100 percent sRGB coverage.
Both models feature lightweight all-metal designs. They also carry MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability certification.
Battery life is another focus. Asus claims up to 20 hours on the Vivobook S14. The S16 is rated for more than 15 hours.
Connectivity includes USB Type-C ports and HDMI 2.1. Asus also bundles Microsoft Office Home 2024 and Microsoft 365 Basic. The latter includes 100GB of cloud storage for one year.
The Snapdragon-powered versions of the S14 and S16 will arrive later. Asus says they will go on sale in the second week of October.
Flip models bring touchscreen flexibility
The Vivobook 14 Flip is aimed at users who want a laptop that can also work as a tablet. Its 360-degree hinge allows notebook, tablet and display modes.
The laptop comes with an all-metal convertible design and a 14-inch Full-HD+ ASUS OLED touchscreen. It also supports a stylus.
Under the hood, the laptop can be configured with up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 Series 3 355 processor. Its NPU delivers up to 49 TOPS of AI performance.
Asus claims up to 38 hours of battery life. The machine also includes an AI camera, webcam shield and TPM 2.0 security. Connectivity includes Thunderbolt 4, USB Type-C and a microSD card reader.
The Vivobook S14 Flip takes a similar convertible approach. It has a 14-inch Full-HD+ OLED touchscreen with stylus support.
It runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon X X1-26-100 processor with a 45 TOPS NPU. The laptop also features an AI-based Full-HD camera and TPM 2.0.
Asus claims up to 30 days of battery life on a single charge. It also gets two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports and HDMI 2.1.
Vivobook 16 gets AMD power
The standard Vivobook 16 takes a different route with an AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS processor and AMD Radeon graphics.
It features a 16-inch Full-HD+ IPS display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and an 89 percent screen-to-body ratio. The laptop also offers up to 10 TOPS of AI acceleration.
For video calls, Asus has added a Full-HD AI camera with facial recognition and privacy features. The laptop carries MIL-STD-810H durability and a 52.5Wh battery.
The Snapdragon S14 and S16 models will bring Qualcomm’s 45 TOPS NPU to the range. They also offer up to 30 hours of battery life and Type-C fast charging.
All five new Vivobook models will be available through Asus Exclusive Stores, the Asus e-shop, authorised retailers and e-commerce platforms. Sales for the main lineup begin September 17.
