Tata Harrier.ev Arrives at ₹21.49 Lakh With Bold Design and Long Range
Tata Motors has launched the much-awaited Harrier.ev in India at a starting price of ₹21.49 lakh (ex-showroom). This all-electric SUV offers a range of up to 627 km and is the first Tata car to feature an all-wheel-drive (AWD) setup. Bookings will begin from July 2, 2025, across India. It is available in three variants: Adventure, Fearless, and Empowered. There’s also a bold Stealth Edition in matte black.
The Harrier.ev is a great choice for SUV lovers who want a stylish electric vehicle (EV) with powerful performance and a long range. It suits urban drivers as well as those who enjoy weekend road trips.
Design That Turns Heads
The Harrier.ev looks similar to the diesel Harrier but comes with smart EV touches. It features connected LED headlights, a blanked-out grille, and vertical silver slats on the bumper. The sleek LED DRLs and tail lights stretch across the front and back, making it look futuristic.
From the side, the SUV gets stylish 19-inch alloy wheels with aero covers. It proudly carries “.ev” badges and rugged black cladding. The rear includes a sporty spoiler and vertical slats on the skid plate for a tougher look.
One of the most eye-catching versions is the Stealth Edition. It comes in a full matte black finish, inside and out, and looks like a beast on wheels.
5 Colour Options to Choose From
Buyers can pick from five shades:
- Stealth Black (only on the Stealth Edition)
- Nainital Nocturne and Empowered Oxide (for Empowered variants)
- Pure Grey
- Pristine White
It also comes with a 502-litre boot and a frunk. The front trunk offers 67 litres of space in the rear-wheel-drive version and 37 litres in the AWD.
Classy Cabin With Dual Screens and Smart Features
Inside, the Harrier.ev feels premium and modern. The cabin comes in white and grey, which gives it a calm and classy feel. The seats use leatherette upholstery and the dashboard has a neat finish.
There are two digital screens. One is a 14.5-inch QLED infotainment display from Samsung with Dolby Atmos. The other is a 10.25-inch digital driver display. The steering wheel is 4-spoked and has an illuminated logo.
The centre console includes a rotary terrain mode selector with six modes, a gear stalk, electronic parking brake controls, and twin cupholders.
Packed With Premium Comfort and EV Technology
The Harrier.ev offers ventilated and powered front seats, a boss mode for the front passenger, and dual-zone climate control. It also has a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, a digital key, and JBL’s 10-speaker sound system.
EV lovers will appreciate features like Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging. There’s also Boost Mode for extra power when you need to overtake, plus off-road assist and transparent bonnet mode for tricky terrain.
Strong Focus on Safety
Safety is a big plus on the Harrier.ev. It gets 7 airbags (6 standard), front and rear parking sensors, 360-degree camera, blind spot monitor, and TPMS. There’s also an auto park assist and an inside rearview mirror that shows the rear camera feed.
The SUV supports Level-2 ADAS with features like adaptive cruise control and driver attention warning. This makes it a smarter and safer drive, especially on highways and in traffic.
Dual Battery Options, Fast Charging, and AWD Power
Tata offers the Harrier.ev with two battery choices: 65 kWh and 75 kWh. You can pick between rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The AWD version uses two motors – 238 PS on the rear and 158 PS on the front, giving a total torque of 504 Nm.
It can go from 0-100 kmph in just 6.3 seconds, thanks to Boost Mode. On a fast charger, it can add up to 250 km of range in just 15 minutes.
Competition and Final Take
The Harrier.ev competes with Mahindra’s upcoming XUV.e9 and the BYD Atto 3. But with its AWD option, fast charging, luxury interior, and Tata’s trust factor, the Harrier.ev sets a new standard in India’s electric SUV space.
This EV isn’t just about style. It’s about smart driving, clean energy, and long-distance comfort. For buyers ready to shift to electric without compromising on SUV vibes, the Harrier.ev offers a compelling new direction.
