Triumph has revealed India prices for the updated 2027 Tiger 1200 range. The flagship adventure motorcycle will be available in two variants, the GT Pro and Rally Explorer, from March 2027.

The GT Pro is priced at Rs 20.99 lakh, while the Rally Explorer costs Rs 23.49 lakh. The updated models bring a more powerful engine, revised chassis setup and new radar-based rider assistance systems.

2027 Triumph Tiger 1200: Price and engine updates

The updated Tiger 1200 uses a 1,160cc liquid-cooled inline-three engine. It now produces 158hp at 9,250rpm and 130Nm of torque at 6,750rpm.

That is an increase of 8hp over the outgoing model. Triumph has redesigned the cylinder head, pistons and exhaust. It has also added lighter intake and exhaust valves and more precise fuel injection.

Peak torque now arrives lower in the rev range. Revised primary and final-drive ratios also reduce the motorcycle’s crawl speed by 6kph. These changes are aimed at improving control at lower speeds.

New wheel setup and semi-active suspension

Both Tiger 1200 variants now use a 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel. The updated range no longer offers the 21-inch front wheel found on previous generations.

The GT Pro gets cast aluminium wheels, while the Rally Explorer uses spoked wheels.

Suspension duties are handled by semi-active Showa units. The setup includes a 49mm upside-down front fork and a rear monoshock, each with 200mm of travel.

The system uses inputs from multiple sensors, including a six-axis IMU, to adjust compression and rebound damping. It also features automatic self-levelling preload.

Braking hardware includes twin 320mm front discs with Brembo Stylema calipers and a 282mm rear disc. The GT Pro weighs 250kg, while the Rally Explorer has a listed kerb weight of 268kg.

Radar-based rider assistance and touring features

A key addition is the Bosch front and rear radar system. It enables adaptive cruise control, group ride assist, emergency brake assist and forward collision warning.

The system also supports blind spot assist and rear distance warning.

Both variants feature a 7-inch TFT touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A tank-top phone compartment includes a USB-C charging port.

The GT Pro offers seven riding modes. The Rally Explorer adds an Off-road Pro mode, taking its total to eight.

GT Pro vs Rally Explorer: What changes?

The GT Pro gets a 20-litre fuel tank. The Rally Explorer features a larger 30-litre tank and adds a tyre pressure monitoring system.

It also comes with an engine guard, lower and upper engine bars, and an adjustable folding brake pedal. Its handlebars sit 10mm higher and 10mm wider than those on the GT Pro.

The new models cost more than the outgoing versions listed on Triumph India’s website. The MY24 Rally Pro was priced at Rs 20.79 lakh, while the GT Explorer was listed at Rs 20.89 lakh.

Despite the price increase, the updated Tiger 1200 variants remain below some key rivals. The BMW R 1300 GS starts at Rs 24 lakh, while the Ducati Multistrada V4 starts at Rs 25.06 lakh.
