Qualcomm has launched its much-anticipated Snapdragon X platform for personal computers (PCs) in India. This launch focuses on making AI-powered PCs affordable and appealing to Indian youth. With the tagline “making PCs cool again,” Qualcomm aims to reshape the budget PC segment. The Snapdragon X platform complements Snapdragon X Elite and Plus processors but stands out due to its affordability. It offers 8 high-performance cores, 45 tera operations per second (TOPS), a 30 MB total cache, and LPDDR5X RAM support. The chipset also supports 5G and Wi-Fi 7 for faster connectivity.
Competitive Pricing and Ultra-Fast Delivery
Snapdragon X-powered PCs will be priced below ₹100,000, with some options starting under ₹70,000. Asus leads the charge with its Vivobook 16, priced at ₹65,990, featuring 16 GB RAM, 512 GB storage, and a 45 TOPS NPU. To enhance accessibility, Qualcomm has partnered with Flipkart Minutes, offering delivery of these devices within ten minutes in select locations. Additionally, Tata’s Croma stores will showcase Snapdragon X products under a dedicated ‘Snapdragon Zone.’

Qualcomm is collaborating with IIT Gandhinagar and other Indian partners to expand the large language model (LLM) ecosystem, paving the way for advanced AI applications tailored for India. OEMs like HP, Lenovo, Acer, and Asus have also revealed their upcoming Snapdragon X-powered portfolios, signaling wider market adoption.
