Vivo X300 Series Debuts With 200MP Telephoto Camera, Android 16, and MediaTek Power

Vivo X300 Series Launches With Android 16 and Zeiss Cameras

Vivo has officially unveiled its new flagship lineup — the Vivo X300 series — in China. The phones debut with Android 16-based OriginOS 6, a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, and a powerful 200MP telephoto camera developed in collaboration with Zeiss Optics.

The new series follows last year’s X200 lineup but skips any “Pro Max” variant, focusing instead on refinement, camera innovation, and sleek design.

Vivo X300 and X300 Pro: Price and Availability

The Vivo X300 starts at CNY 4,399 (around ₹54,300) for the 12GB + 256GB model. The 16GB + 256GB version costs CNY 4,699 (₹58,200), while the top-end 16GB + 1TB model is priced at CNY 5,799 (₹73,000).

The Vivo X300 Pro begins at CNY 5,299 (₹65,400), followed by the 16GB + 512GB variant at CNY 5,999 (₹74,200). The most premium model, with 1TB storage and satellite connectivity, costs CNY 8,299 (around ₹1.03 lakh).

An India launch is expected in November 2025, though Vivo hasn’t confirmed the exact date yet.

Design and Display: Compact Yet Premium

The Vivo X300 sports a 6.31-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, offering smooth visuals in a compact form. The X300 Pro features a 6.78-inch 1.5K panel, maintaining the same refresh rate for flagship-level performance.

Despite its larger battery, Vivo has kept the X300 thin at 7.95mm and light at 190 grams. The X300 Pro houses a bigger 6,510mAh battery, making it slightly heavier at 226 grams but still maintaining a slim 7.9mm profile.

Performance and Software: MediaTek Power Meets Android 16

Both models are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, paired with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. This marks one of Vivo’s strongest partnerships with MediaTek, signaling confidence in its flagship-level performance.

Running on Android 16-based OriginOS 6, the phones come with enhanced UI features, smoother animations, and improved battery efficiency. Vivo has also added an action button, dual speakers, and an x-axis linear motor for a more premium experience.

Camera Highlights: 200MP Telephoto Lens Takes the Spotlight

The X300 series continues Vivo’s camera excellence with Zeiss-tuned lenses. The Vivo X300 features a 200MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto sensor.

Meanwhile, the Vivo X300 Pro swaps the main sensor for a 50MP Sony sensor with OIS, keeping the 50MP ultrawide but upgrading the periscope telephoto to a massive 200MP. Both models include a 50MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

Battery and Charging: Bigger and Faster

The Vivo X300 packs a 6,040mAh battery, while the X300 Pro goes bigger with 6,510mAh. Both support fast charging and promise extended battery life even with heavy camera use and gaming.
