Noise has launched the Buds R1 Gaana Edition in India at ₹1,399, bringing a music-streaming subscription alongside its wireless earbuds. Developed in partnership with Gaana, the special edition includes a complimentary one-year Gaana Plus subscription worth ₹799.
The new earbuds feature 11mm dynamic drivers, quad microphones with Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) and fast charging support. Noise also claims up to 40 hours of total playback with the charging case.
The partnership aims to offer buyers both wireless audio hardware and access to premium music streaming. However, the bundled subscription is particularly relevant for users who already listen to music through Gaana.
Noise Buds R1 Gaana Edition price and availability in India
The Noise Buds R1 Gaana Edition costs ₹1,399 in India. Buyers can purchase the earbuds through Noise’s official website or Gaana’s website and app.
The package includes a complimentary one-year Gaana Plus subscription, which the companies value at ₹799.
Gaana Plus provides ad-free music streaming, offline downloads and HD audio streaming. Subscribers can also access podcasts available on the platform.
The offer adds a streaming benefit to the earbuds without requiring buyers to purchase a separate annual subscription immediately. However, buyers should check the subscription activation terms and renewal conditions before redeeming it.
The standard Noise Buds R1 is available in Matte Black, Matcha Green, Snow White and Special Blue. The supplied information does not separately confirm the Gaana Edition’s colour options.
Noise Buds R1 Gaana Edition specifications and features
The Noise Buds R1 Gaana Edition features 11mm dynamic drivers designed to deliver bass-focused audio. The earbuds also include four microphones with Environmental Noise Cancellation technology.
ENC helps reduce surrounding noise during voice calls. However, it should not be confused with Active Noise Cancellation, which reduces ambient sound during listening.
Noise claims the earbuds offer up to 40 hours of total playback when used with the charging case. Actual battery life may vary depending on volume levels, calling time and usage conditions.
The earbuds also support the company’s InstaCharge technology. According to Noise, a 10-minute charge can provide up to 120 minutes of music playback.
This could be useful for commuters and users who frequently forget to charge their earbuds overnight.
The standard Noise Buds R1 supports Bluetooth 5.3, Hyper Sync connectivity, IPX5 water resistance and a low-latency mode rated at up to 40ms. However, Noise has not separately confirmed whether all these features are available on the Gaana Edition.
Noise and Gaana plan to expand their partnership
The Buds R1 Gaana Edition marks a collaboration between Noise and the Indian music-streaming platform.
Both companies aim to reach 2.5 million consumers through the partnership by the end of 2026. Noise also plans to extend the collaboration to additional products.
For consumers, the key attraction is the combination of affordable earbuds and a year of premium music streaming.
At ₹1,399, the Noise Buds R1 Gaana Edition could appeal to buyers seeking everyday wireless earbuds with a bundled subscription. However, users who prefer other streaming platforms should compare the earbuds’ hardware features and performance before deciding.
