Philips has entered India’s smartphone market with the new Philips S7221 5G. The company has launched the phone with a focus on a large display, 5G connectivity, camera features and battery life.

The smartphone starts at Rs. 20,499. It also runs Android 16 out of the box. Buyers get two RAM configurations and a 128GB storage option.

The launch adds another name to India’s increasingly competitive mid-range smartphone market.

Philips S7221 5G Price in India and Availability

The Philips S7221 5G price starts at Rs. 20,499 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model. The 8GB RAM + 128GB version costs Rs. 22,499.

The phone is available through Amazon in Black, Blue and Grey colour options.

120Hz Display and Android 16

The Philips S7221 5G features a 6.67-inch HD LCD display with a 720×1,600-pixel resolution. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, the smartphone uses an octa-core Spreadtrum T765 chipset. It comes with up to 8GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

Meanwhile, the phone runs Android 16 from the box.

64MP Rear Camera and 16MP Selfie Camera

For photography, the Philips S7221 5G gets a 64-megapixel rear camera with a flash.

The camera system supports features such as AI scene optimisation and portrait mode. On the front, users get a 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
