CMF by Nothing has expanded its audio portfolio with the launch of the Clip Pro, its first open-ear true wireless earbuds. The new earbuds feature an open-ear clip-on design, Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification, LDAC support and a unique Smart Dial built into the charging case for quick controls.
The CMF Clip Pro is priced at $99 (roughly Rs. 9,400) in the US. However, the company has confirmed that the earbuds will not launch in India.
Price and availability
The CMF Clip Pro is priced at $99 (roughly Rs. 9,400) in the US and GBP 79 (roughly Rs. 10,100) in the UK.
It comes in Dark Grey, Light Grey and Coral colour options. Sales begin on August 15 in the US, UK and Japan through Nothing’s official website and select retail partners. A wider rollout across Europe and other global markets will follow on September 15.
CMF has confirmed that the Clip Pro will not be available in India.
Smart Dial is the standout feature
The biggest highlight of the Clip Pro is the Smart Dial integrated into the charging case. Users can adjust volume, control music playback, answer calls and perform other supported functions without touching their smartphone.
Each earbud also includes physical button controls, while the Nothing X app lets users customise Smart Dial functions and gesture controls.
Open-ear design with LDAC support
The CMF Clip Pro uses an open-ear clip-on design with a three-point structure that distributes pressure evenly across the ear for improved comfort during extended use.
For audio, the earbuds feature a 10.8mm dynamic driver with TPU and LCP diaphragm, support for LDAC, AAC and SBC codecs, and Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification. They also include Static Spatial Audio, five EQ presets, a custom EQ mode and CMF’s Malleus algorithm to enhance bass while reducing treble distortion.
AI-powered calling and connectivity
The earbuds use four microphones, supported by Elephant Sound AI and a VPU-powered processing system, to improve voice clarity during calls. CMF has also included a Sound Seal feature that reduces audio leakage.
Connectivity features include Bluetooth 5.4, Bluetooth Low Energy, dual-device pairing, Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair and a low-latency gaming mode.
The Nothing X app also offers firmware updates, Find My Earbuds, dual-device management and custom controls. On compatible Nothing smartphones, users can even assign shortcuts for ChatGPT or Nothing AI News.
Battery life
Each earbud packs a 60mAh battery, while the charging case houses a 475mAh battery.
CMF claims the Clip Pro can deliver up to 10 hours of playback on a single charge and up to 32.5 hours with the charging case. Enabling Long Battery Life mode extends total playback to up to 36 hours.
A 10-minute charge is claimed to provide up to four hours of music playback. The earbuds carry an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance, while the charging case has an IPX2 rating.
