The Nothing Phone 4b is officially set to arrive with a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor when it launches on July 7. Although Nothing has not revealed the exact chipset, the company confirmed the processor partnership and hinted at better performance, improved battery efficiency, and stronger on-device AI capabilities. The announcement also strengthens recent leaks that suggested the Nothing Phone 4b could use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 platform.

With just a week left before launch, Nothing continues to reveal key details while building anticipation around its first smartphone under the new “b” lineup.

Which Snapdragon processor will power the Nothing Phone 4b?

Nothing confirmed through its official X account that the Phone 4b will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. However, the company stopped short of naming the exact chipset. It said the complete processor details will be announced during the July 7 launch event at 4 PM IST.

Recent leaks, however, suggest the Nothing Phone 4b could feature the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset. A Geekbench listing for a device carrying model number A005 also pointed to the same processor. The benchmark listing showed 8GB RAM, Android 16-based Nothing OS, and respectable single-core and multi-core scores, adding weight to the speculation.

Nothing says the processor is designed to deliver smoother everyday performance while improving power efficiency and enabling AI-powered experiences directly on the device.

What else is expected?

Beyond the processor, multiple leaks have revealed several expected specifications. The Nothing Phone 4b may feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and gaming.

The smartphone is also tipped to launch in 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB variants. It could house a 5,400mAh battery and a dual rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor.

Nothing has already revealed the phone’s design. Unlike previous models with the full Glyph Interface, the Phone 4b introduces a smaller horizontal Glyph Bar beneath the camera module. The new lighting system will continue supporting charging indicators, notifications, and app alerts while giving the device a fresh identity.

The relevance of b series

The Phone 4b will be the first device in Nothing’s new “b” series. According to the company, the lineup is meant to make the Nothing ecosystem more accessible without giving up the brand’s core software experience and signature design language.

Nothing has also opened registrations for customers interested in receiving launch updates through its official website.

With Qualcomm’s Snapdragon platform now officially confirmed and several specifications already surfacing through leaks, the Nothing Phone 4b is shaping up to be one of the most closely watched smartphone launches in the affordable segment. The remaining details, including pricing and the exact chipset, will be revealed during the official launch on July 7.
