Vivo TWS 5 Pro has officially launched in China, expanding the company’s premium audio portfolio with features usually found in flagship wireless earbuds. The new earbuds combine a built-in Hi-Fi DAC, dual-driver audio system, lossless Wi-Fi audio transmission, and up to 50 hours of battery life. With advanced noise cancellation and gaming-focused latency, Vivo is targeting users who want more than standard Bluetooth earbuds.

The latest launch also reflects a growing trend among smartphone brands to build complete hardware ecosystems around their devices. Alongside smartphones, companies are increasingly investing in premium audio products that promise better sound quality, seamless connectivity, and longer battery life.

What is new in the Vivo TWS 5 Pro?

The Vivo TWS 5 Pro introduces several premium upgrades over conventional true wireless earbuds. One of its biggest highlights is the integrated Hi-Fi DAC chip, which delivers a dynamic range of 113dB for richer and more detailed audio reproduction.

Vivo has also equipped the earbuds with an 11mm dynamic driver and a dual-driver acoustic design. Together, they cover a wide frequency response from 16Hz to 60kHz, allowing the earbuds to reproduce deep bass, detailed vocals, and crisp high frequencies.

Another standout addition is support for lossless audio transmission over Wi-Fi at speeds of up to 4.6Mbps. This complements Bluetooth connectivity and gives compatible users another option for higher-quality wireless listening.

How good is the audio and noise cancellation?

The Vivo TWS 5 Pro is built for users who prioritize audio quality. Besides the Hi-Fi DAC, the earbuds use a BES2720HP audio chip to process sound.

The earbuds support several popular audio codecs, including AAC, SBC, LDAC, and LC3 over Bluetooth 5.4. They also support PCM audio over Wi-Fi, making them suitable for high-resolution audio playback on supported devices.

Vivo has included multiple listening profiles to suit different preferences. Users can switch between Standard, Clear Vocals, Deep Bass, Bright Treble, Audiobook, and Ultimate Mastery sound modes depending on the content they are playing.

For calls and everyday use, the earbuds feature four microphones combined with a VPU bone-conduction microphone. According to Vivo, this setup enables active noise cancellation of up to 60dB while significantly reducing surrounding environmental noise during voice calls.

What connectivity features does Vivo offer?

Connectivity is another major highlight of the Vivo TWS 5 Pro.

The earbuds support Bluetooth 5.4 for stable wireless performance while allowing simultaneous pairing with up to three devices. This makes switching between a smartphone, laptop, and tablet much easier without repeated manual pairing.

Gamers also receive a low-latency mode that reduces delay to as little as 42 milliseconds, helping improve synchronization between gameplay and audio.

Additional convenience features include one-tap pairing, customizable touch controls, and capacitive wear detection that automatically pauses playback when the earbuds are removed.

The earbuds are also integrated into Vivo’s BlueOS ecosystem. Users with compatible Vivo devices can instantly connect simply by opening the charging case.

How long does the battery last?

Battery life is another area where the Vivo TWS 5 Pro aims to stand out.

Each earbud packs a 56mAh battery, while the charging case houses a larger 615mAh battery.

With active noise cancellation turned off, Vivo claims users can enjoy up to 11 hours of playback from the earbuds alone. Combined with the charging case, total listening time reaches up to 50 hours.

When active noise cancellation is enabled, playback drops to around six hours per charge. Even then, the total battery backup with the charging case reaches up to 24 hours.

Charging is handled through a USB Type-C port. Vivo says the earbuds recharge in approximately 58 minutes, while a complete recharge of both the earbuds and charging case takes about 150 minutes.

Vivo TWS 5 Pro price and availability

The Vivo TWS 5 Pro is currently available in China at a price of CNY 999, which converts to roughly Rs. 13,000.

Buyers can choose between Silent Realm Black and Original Soundtrack color options. Vivo has not announced international availability, including an India launch timeline.

Each earbud weighs around 5.5 grams, while the charging case weighs approximately 46.5 grams. The earbuds also carry an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance, making them suitable for everyday commuting, workouts, and outdoor use.

Conclusion

The Vivo TWS 5 Pro combines premium audio hardware, advanced wireless technologies, long battery life, and ecosystem integration in a single package. Features such as a built-in Hi-Fi DAC, lossless Wi-Fi audio, 60dB active noise cancellation, and triple-device connectivity position the Vivo TWS 5 Pro as Vivo’s most feature-rich true wireless earbuds to date. Whether these earbuds launch globally remains to be seen, but the specifications clearly show Vivo’s ambition to compete in the premium wireless audio segment.
