  • Samsung has shared its first official glimpse of the Galaxy Z Fold 8.
  • The teaser confirms the phone’s wider design and slimmer profile.
  • Samsung partnered with Spider-Man: Brand New Day for the latest teaser.
  • The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is set to launch at Galaxy Unpacked on July 22.

Samsung has officially offered its first look at the Galaxy Z Fold 8, confirming the wider design that has been rumored for months. The latest teaser, released ahead of the company’s July 22 Galaxy Unpacked event, shows a slimmer foldable with a broader form factor while continuing Samsung’s promotional partnership with Marvel’s upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Although recent leaks have already revealed the device from multiple angles, this marks Samsung’s first official confirmation of the redesigned foldable.

Official teaser confirms wider Galaxy Z Fold 8

Unlike Samsung’s earlier teasers that hinted at the phone’s proportions using everyday objects, the latest video briefly shows part of the actual Galaxy Z Fold 8.

The teaser highlights the phone’s wider body, slim profile, and redesigned side frame. It also reveals two rear camera lenses and slightly repositioned buttons. Compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the power and volume buttons now sit closer to the top edge because of the phone’s wider chassis.

The new design aligns with multiple recent leaks that suggested Samsung is moving away from the tall and narrow cover display seen on previous Fold models.

Spider-Man returns as Samsung’s launch partner

Samsung has once again teamed up with Spider-Man: Brand New Day to promote its upcoming foldables.

The teaser features Marvel branding as Samsung continues its long-running partnership with the Spider-Man franchise. Reports suggest the upcoming film will showcase several Samsung products, including the latest foldables.

The collaboration follows previous campaigns that paired Galaxy smartphones with major Hollywood releases.

What to expect from the Galaxy Z Fold 8

Based on previous leaks, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is expected to feature a significantly wider outer display, making one-handed use more practical. Reports also suggest the foldable could sport a 5.5-inch cover display and a 7.6-inch inner display with a more tablet-like 4:3 aspect ratio.

The phone is also expected to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor, paired with 12GB RAM and storage options up to 1TB.

Samsung is also rumored to retain a slim design despite the wider footprint.

Launch set for July 22

Samsung will officially unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 8 during its Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22 in London.

The company is also expected to introduce the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Watch 9 series, and other Galaxy devices during the event.

With Samsung now confirming the wider design, attention will shift to pricing, camera upgrades, AI features, and how the new form factor compares with rivals from Google, Honor, and OnePlus.
