Apple will open pre-orders for the iPhone Duo in India at 5:30pm IST on October 16. Customers can place orders through Apple’s official website and the Apple Store app.
The iPhone Duo is Apple’s first foldable smartphone. It debuted at the company’s September launch event alongside the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, new AirPods and Apple Watch models.
While the other devices have already gone on sale, the iPhone Duo is now preparing for its retail debut. Apple has scheduled the foldable’s India sale for October 23 through its online store and select partner retailers.
iPhone Duo price in India and launch offers
The iPhone Duo starts at ₹2,99,900 for the 256GB storage variant. Apple is offering four storage configurations in India.

Customers can choose between Star White and Night Sky colour options.
Apple’s Trade In programme offers up to ₹81,500 in credit for eligible iPhones, including qualifying iPhone 13 and newer models. The final value will depend on the device and its eligibility.
Buyers can also access No Cost EMI for up to 12 months through most leading banks. Eligible American Express, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank cardholders can receive up to ₹7,000 in instant cashback.
Apple is also bundling three months of Apple Music, Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade with purchases. Buyers should check the applicable terms and eligibility before placing an order.
iPhone Duo specifications and features
The iPhone Duo uses a book-style folding design with two Super Retina XDR displays. The inner screen measures 7.6 inches, while the outer display measures 5.4 inches.
Both displays support ProMotion technology. The larger inner panel provides more room for videos, gaming and multitasking. Apple says it offers 50 percent more screen area than the iPhone 18 Pro Max.
The device runs on Apple’s A20 Pro chipset, manufactured using a 2nm process. It runs iOS 27.1 and supports Apple Intelligence features, including Siri AI.
For photography, the iPhone Duo features a 48-megapixel Dual Fusion rear camera system. It combines a main camera with an ultra-wide-angle sensor. The front camera has a 12-megapixel sensor with Center Stage support. An under-display FaceTime camera also enables video calls when users unfold the phone.
Connectivity options include USB Type-C, MagSafe wireless charging, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.
Battery life and availability
Apple has equipped the iPhone Duo with a dual-battery architecture. The company claims up to 31 hours of video playback on the inner display and up to 44 hours on the outer screen.
Pre-orders begin at 5:30pm IST on October 16. The device will go on sale in India on October 23 through Apple’s online store and select retail partners.
