Firefly Boards Redefines Creative Collaboration
Adobe is making a big leap in creative ideation with its latest Firefly update. The new Firefly mobile app brings AI-powered image and video generation to smartphones. Available now on iOS and Android, the app allows users to create, edit, and sync visuals from anywhere.
At the same time, Adobe has added video tools to Firefly Boards, a web-based moodboarding space built for collaborative ideation. The update also expands Firefly’s AI model ecosystem, adding more creative flexibility across styles and formats.
Create images and videos on the go with Firefly mobile
Firefly mobile lets you generate photos or videos using simple text prompts. For instance, you can turn an image into a short video or use AI to remove unwanted objects. Features like Generative Fill, Generative Expand, and Text to Video give creators more control while keeping workflows simple.
All edits and creations made in Firefly mobile sync with your Creative Cloud account. So, you can start an idea on mobile and finish it later in apps like Photoshop or Premiere Pro.
You can also access image models from Adobe, OpenAI, and Google — all from a single place.
Firefly Boards adds AI-first moodboarding with video editing
Firefly Boards, now in public beta, introduces a new way for creative teams to brainstorm together. It allows users to generate and remix videos using text prompts or uploaded clips. You can explore video generation using Adobe’s Firefly Video Model or partner models like Google’s Veo, Pika, and Luma AI.
Firefly Boards also supports image generation with partners like OpenAI, Ideogram, and Black Forest Labs. You can make quick changes to visuals using conversational text prompts. This helps teams explore multiple ideas quickly — all in one shared space.
A growing AI model ecosystem for more creativity
Adobe continues to bring in more partners to expand Firefly’s creative power. Along with existing models, Firefly now includes new tools from:
- Ideogram 3.0
- Luma AI Ray2
- Runway Gen-4
- Google Imagen 4
- Black Forest Labs’ Kontext
These models offer users more styles, tools, and editing options — especially for multimedia content like video and vectors.
Creative control with content credentials
Adobe emphasizes transparency and creative rights. Every AI-generated output from Firefly includes Content Credentials, which show the model used and ensure clarity around authorship. This keeps creators informed and builds trust in AI-generated content.
Adobe’s approach to AI remains creator-first, respecting the original creative community while delivering useful tools.
Firefly’s momentum continue
Creators have now made over 24 billion assets using Firefly. Video creation, logo design, and vector art have all seen massive growth. Traffic and subscriptions for Firefly rose over 30% in the last quarter.
With tools now available on both mobile and web, Adobe Firefly aims to become the central platform for AI-powered creativity.
