Xiaomi 17T is now official in India. The new smartphone expands the company’s flagship lineup and focuses heavily on mobile photography. Xiaomi has equipped the device with a Leica-backed camera system, a dedicated periscope telephoto lens, and a large battery. The Xiaomi 17T also arrives with the latest HyperOS 3 software based on Android 16.

The device will go on sale in India from June 10 through Xiaomi’s online and offline channels.

What Is the Price of Xiaomi 17T in India?

The Xiaomi 17T starts at Rs. 59,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. Meanwhile, the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage model costs Rs. 64,999.

Xiaomi is offering a Rs. 5,000 instant discount through select bank cards. Buyers can also choose an exchange bonus of the same value. With the launch offers applied, the effective starting price drops to Rs. 54,999.

The company is also providing up to 18 months of no-cost EMI, zero down payment options, and an assured buyback program. In addition, customers will receive complimentary subscriptions to Spotify Premium, YouTube Premium, and Google AI Pro for a limited period.

Why Is Xiaomi 17T Focusing on Cameras?

The biggest talking point of the Xiaomi 17T is its Leica-tuned camera setup.

The smartphone features a 50-megapixel Light Fusion 800 primary camera. It is paired with a 50-megapixel Leica periscope telephoto camera that supports 5x optical zoom. Xiaomi says the telephoto lens offers a focal length equivalent to 115mm and includes optical image stabilization.

The setup is completed by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera.

Leica’s imaging technology has become a key part of Xiaomi’s premium smartphone strategy. As a result, the company is positioning the Xiaomi 17T as a photography-focused flagship for users who want advanced zoom and imaging capabilities.

The Xiaomi 17T sports a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The panel supports a peak brightness of up to 3,500 nits, making it suitable for outdoor use.

Under the hood, the smartphone runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500-Ultra chipset. It is paired with 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of storage.

For thermal management, Xiaomi has included its 3D IceLoop cooling system. This should help maintain performance during gaming, video recording, and other demanding tasks.

On the software side, the device runs Android 16-based HyperOS 3 out of the box.
