Vu has expanded its premium television lineup in India with its new Ultra Large TV series.
The new range targets consumers looking for very large-screen televisions. It comes in two sizes, 85 inches and 100 inches.
Both models feature 4K UHD QLED panels and a native refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The TVs also bring gaming-focused features and Dolby Atmos audio.
The series goes on sale in India today through Vu’s authorised online and offline retail channels.
Vu Ultra Large TV Price in India
The 85-inch Vu Ultra Large TV is priced at Rs 1,50,000 in India. Meanwhile, the larger 100-inch model costs Rs 2,50,000.
Both variants are available for purchase from Vu’s authorised retail channels. The pricing puts the new range firmly in the large-screen premium TV segment.
100-Inch 4K QLED Display
The biggest highlight of the series is its screen size.
The 100-inch model features a 4K UHD QLED direct-lit panel with a 3,840 x 2,160-pixel resolution. The panel offers up to 500 nits peak brightness and covers 94 percent of the DCI-P3 wide colour gamut.
The 85-inch model also uses a 4K UHD QLED display.
Both TVs support a native refresh rate of up to 120Hz. They can also reach up to 240Hz through High-Speed Refresh technology and support up to 144Hz variable refresh rate.
For smoother gaming, the TVs include MEMC, Auto Low Latency Mode and a dedicated Game Mode.
AI Processor Handles Picture Processing
Vu has equipped the new TVs with its proprietary Vu 144Hz Iconium 4K AI processor. The processor supports AI Picture, Intelligent Scene Recognition and AI Upscaling.
These features are designed to optimise picture output based on the content being displayed. The TVs also support Dolby Atmos. Vu has added AI-backed room acoustic mapping and calibration to the audio system.
100-Inch Model Gets 108W Audio
The two models differ in their audio hardware.
The 100-inch Vu Ultra Large TV gets a 108W 2.1-channel VuFX audio setup. It combines two speakers with a dedicated subwoofer. It also features an anti-glare matte finish. This could help reduce reflections on the massive display.
The 85-inch model gets a 65W 2.2-channel VuFX setup. It uses two speakers and two subwoofers. Unlike the 100-inch model, the 85-inch TV comes with a glossy display finish.
Google TV and Connectivity Features
The Vu Ultra Large series runs on Google TV.
The TVs support Apple AirPlay, Chromecast and Apple HomeKit. This gives users several options for streaming content and connecting compatible devices.
Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. There are also four HDMI ports, two USB ports and an Ethernet port. The TVs include optical audio output and ARC support.
The Bluetooth remote comes with voice controls. It also includes dedicated buttons for Cricket, Cinema, Picture, Sound and Wi-Fi.
Vu Targets the Big-Screen TV Market
With the Ultra Large series, Vu is focusing on consumers who want a cinema-style screen at home. The 100-inch model, in particular, puts a very large 4K QLED display at the centre of the lineup.
At Rs 2.5 lakh, it is aimed at the premium television market. The 85-inch model offers a lower entry point at Rs 1.5 lakh while retaining key features such as 4K QLED technology and a 120Hz native refresh rate.
The combination of large displays, high refresh rates, gaming features, Dolby Atmos and Google TV makes the series Vu’s latest push into the ultra-large television segment.
