The new mid-range phone also brings a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, a bright AMOLED display, Android 16-based software, and 90W fast charging support.

The launch signals a growing trend in the smartphone market. Brands are no longer chasing slim designs alone. Instead, battery endurance is becoming a major selling point, especially for users who stream videos, play games, and spend long hours online.

The biggest talking point around the Vivo Y600 Turbo is clearly its battery size. A 9,000mAh battery is still rare in mainstream smartphones. Most mid-range devices today ship with batteries between 5,000mAh and 6,000mAh.

Vivo appears to be targeting users who want longer screen time without carrying a power bank. The company has also paired the battery with 90W wired fast charging. That combination could appeal to gamers, travelers, and heavy social media users.

At the same time, Vivo has managed to keep the phone relatively slim for its battery size. The device measures 8.29mm in thickness and weighs 215 grams.

The Vivo Y600 Turbo runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor. The chipset targets upper mid-range smartphones and focuses on balanced performance, efficiency, and AI-driven tasks.

Vivo has launched the Y600 Turbo in three storage variants in China. The base 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model starts at CNY 2,299, which roughly converts to Rs. 32,000.

The 12GB RAM and 256GB storage version costs CNY 2,599, while the top-end 12GB RAM and 512GB storage model is priced at CNY 2,899.

The smartphone comes in Dune Gold, Electric Blue, and Millennium Pink color options. Pre-orders are currently live in China, while official sales begin on May 27.
