Vivo has expanded its Y-series smartphone lineup with the launch of the Vivo Y500 4G in select global markets. The new handset stands out for its massive 8,100mAh battery, a vibrant 120Hz AMOLED display, and a 50-megapixel rear camera. The smartphone starts at PKR 99,999 (around ₹34,000) and is currently available in Pakistan.

While Vivo has not confirmed an India launch, the phone could attract users looking for exceptional battery life without stepping into the flagship segment.

Vivo Y500 4G Price and Availability

The Vivo Y500 4G is available in two storage configurations.

The 8GB + 128GB variant is priced at PKR 99,999, which is roughly ₹34,000. Meanwhile, the 8GB + 256GB model costs PKR 109,999, or about ₹38,000.

Buyers can choose between Midnight Blue and Pearl White colour options. The phone is currently on sale through Vivo’s official online store in Pakistan.

Vivo has not announced plans to bring the device to India.

Massive Battery Is the Biggest Highlight

The biggest selling point of the Vivo Y500 4G is its 8,100mAh battery.

That capacity is among the largest available in mainstream smartphones today. Vivo pairs it with 44W wired fast charging, allowing users to recharge quickly despite the large battery.

The battery is only slightly smaller than the 8,200mAh unit found in the Vivo Y500 5G, which launched in China last year.

For users who stream videos, play games, or travel frequently, the large battery could easily last beyond a full day of heavy use.

AMOLED Display With 120Hz Refresh Rate

The Vivo Y500 4G sports a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The panel also delivers up to 5,000 nits peak brightness, supports 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut, and offers a pixel density of 449ppi. Vivo has also included IP69-rated dust and water resistance, making the phone more durable for everyday use.

Unisoc Chip Powers the Phone

Instead of using a MediaTek or Qualcomm processor, Vivo has equipped the phone with the Unisoc T7300 chipset built on a 6nm process.

The processor pairs with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage.

To keep temperatures under control, Vivo has also included a 4,300 sq mm vapour chamber cooling system.

50MP Camera and Android 16

For photography, the Vivo Y500 4G features a 50-megapixel primary camera along with a 2-megapixel macro sensor.

On the front, users get a 32-megapixel selfie camera for video calls and social media content.

The smartphone runs OriginOS 6, based on Android 16, out of the box.

Other features include Bluetooth 5.4, dual-band Wi-Fi, USB Type-C, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and multiple satellite navigation systems.

Should Indian Buyers Wait?

The Vivo Y500 4G certainly grabs attention with its enormous battery and premium display. However, its expected price of around ₹34,000 puts it in a competitive segment in India.

At that price, buyers can already choose from devices powered by newer Snapdragon and MediaTek processors that offer stronger overall performance.

If Vivo launches the Y500 4G in India at a more competitive price, it could appeal to users who prioritize battery life over raw processing power. Until then, the phone remains an interesting option for those who want a device that can comfortably last through extended use on a single charge.
