Vivo has revived its S-series lineup in India after nearly seven years with the launch of the Vivo S2. Starting at Rs. 39,999, the smartphone packs a MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo chipset, a 7,050mAh battery and a 120Hz AMOLED display.
The new handset also features a 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup, a 32-megapixel selfie camera and runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.
Vivo S2 price in India
The Vivo S2 is priced at Rs. 39,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant, while the 8GB + 256GB model costs Rs. 45,999.
The smartphone is available in Sapphire Blue, Regal Bronze and Silk White colour options. It can be purchased through the Vivo India e-store, Flipkart and select offline retail stores.
Display and performance
The Vivo S2 sports a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,000 nits of local peak brightness. It also supports the P3 wide colour gamut and includes an in-display optical fingerprint scanner.
Powering the device is MediaTek’s Dimensity 7360-Turbo processor paired with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. Vivo also offers up to 8GB of Extended RAM for improved multitasking.
The smartphone runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 out of the box.
Cameras and battery
For photography, the Vivo S2 features a 50-megapixel primary camera alongside a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. On the front, it houses a 32-megapixel selfie camera. Both the front and rear cameras support video recording at up to 4K resolution. The handset packs a 7,050mAh battery with support for 44W FlashCharge.
Connectivity and durability
Connectivity options include dual 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, USB Type-C and OTG support. The Vivo S2 also carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, making it more durable for everyday use.
