Indian audio brand Sonodyne has unveiled five new premium audio products for home entertainment. The lineup includes two wireless music systems, the Bandish G2 and Malhar G2, alongside three Dolby Atmos soundbars: the SAMA 6000, SAMA 7000 and SAMA 8000.
The new products focus on home music playback, television audio and immersive home theatre experiences. Prices range from ₹40,000 to ₹99,999, placing the lineup in the premium audio segment.
Founded in 1970 by IIT alumnus Ashoke Mukherjee, Sonodyne has spent more than five decades developing audio equipment. The latest launch extends its wireless home audio range and expands its soundbar portfolio beyond the SAMA 5000, introduced in 2025.
Sonodyne Bandish G2 and Malhar G2: Features and prices
The Bandish G2 and Malhar G2 build on Sonodyne’s earlier wireless home music systems. The company says customer feedback and listening experience informed improvements to sound performance, controls and cabinet design.
Both systems feature independent bass and treble controls. These let listeners adjust the sound to suit their preferences and room acoustics. Sonodyne also says its updated transducers and digital signal processing improve clarity and dynamic performance.
The systems introduce a sculpted cabinet design with curved edges and wooden enclosures. They also include a remote control and HDMI ARC connectivity, allowing users to connect compatible televisions more easily.
The Malhar G2 uses a three-way speaker design, while the Bandish G2 uses a two-way configuration. The company rates their power outputs at 200W and 120W, respectively.
The Bandish G2 carries an MRP of ₹40,000, while the Malhar G2 is priced at ₹55,000. These systems target users seeking a dedicated home music setup with wireless convenience and television connectivity.
Sonodyne SAMA 6000, SAMA 7000 and SAMA 8000 soundbars
Sonodyne has also introduced three soundbars for buyers seeking a more immersive television audio experience. Each model uses Dolby Atmos and offers a different channel configuration.
The SAMA 6000 is a 5.1-channel Dolby Atmos soundbar system priced at ₹60,000. Its side-firing drivers aim to create a wider soundstage, while a dedicated subwoofer handles low-frequency effects.
The SAMA 7000 steps up to a 5.1.2-channel configuration and costs ₹74,999. Its upward-firing channels are designed to add a greater sense of height to compatible Dolby Atmos content.
At the top of the lineup, the SAMA 8000 offers a 7.1.4-channel configuration at ₹99,999. It combines upward-firing channels with wireless surround speakers to create a more enveloping home theatre experience. Users can also adjust surround speaker levels independently.
All three soundbars include subwoofer level control. They also feature a slim design for shelf placement or wall mounting, along with HDMI eARC connectivity for compatible televisions.
The higher channel counts offer more opportunities for directional and height effects. However, the actual experience will depend on room layout, speaker placement and the audio content being played.
What do the new Sonodyne products offer?
The new lineup gives buyers different ways to upgrade their home audio systems. The Bandish G2 and Malhar G2 focus on music playback, while the SAMA range targets television and home theatre use.
The key distinction is the intended listening experience. A dedicated music system may suit listeners who primarily play music, while a multichannel soundbar can be more appropriate for films, television and compatible Dolby Atmos content.
Buyers should also check their room size, television connectivity and preferred content before choosing a system. Dolby Atmos support alone does not guarantee the same immersive effect in every room.
Sonodyne new audio systems: Price and availability
Sonodyne says the new products will be available through its authorised dealers and retail partners across India. The company also plans to sell them through its official website and Amazon India.
