Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 has leaked in a fresh batch of official-looking renders. The images offer the clearest look yet at the company’s next foldable ahead of Galaxy Unpacked on July 22. They also reveal a wider cover display, familiar colors, and flagship hardware.

For Indian buyers, the leak hints that Samsung could launch the Galaxy Z Fold 8 in India soon after its global debut.

Wider Cover Display Could Transform Everyday Use

Samsung appears ready to solve one of the biggest complaints about the Galaxy Fold series.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 reportedly features a 5.5-inch QHD+ cover display with a wider 16:10 aspect ratio. That is a major shift from the tall and narrow outer screen found on previous models.

The wider display should make typing, browsing, messaging, and using apps much more comfortable without opening the phone.

Inside, Samsung keeps a 7.6-inch QHD+ foldable display. However, the new 4:3 aspect ratio should improve multitasking and media consumption. Games could also scale better than on earlier Galaxy Fold models.

Familiar Design With a New Shape

The leaked renders suggest Samsung is refining rather than redesigning the Fold.

The phone appears in Cream, Graphite, and Lavender. Samsung may also offer a Pistachio finish exclusively through its online store.

Samsung has reportedly made the phone wider while keeping it slim. The Fold 8 could measure 9.7mm when folded and just 4.5mm when unfolded. It is also expected to weigh around 200g. That would make it one of Samsung’s lightest book-style foldables.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Powers the Fold

The leak points to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset.

Samsung is expected to pair the processor with 12GB RAM. Buyers may choose between 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options.

The phone will reportedly pack a 4,800mAh battery with 25W wired charging. Samsung may reserve faster charging and premium features for the rumored Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.

What This Means for India

Samsung has already confirmed Galaxy Unpacked for July 22 in London. The company is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Watch 9, and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 during the event.

Samsung has not announced India pricing yet. However, recent European leaks suggest prices could increase this year. If that happens, Indian buyers may also see a price hike.

The wider cover display is the biggest highlight of this leak. It could finally make the Galaxy Z Fold 8 feel like a regular smartphone when closed. Users would still get a large tablet-like display after unfolding it.

Samsung will reveal the official details during Galaxy Unpacked on July 22..
