Oppo Enco X4 features and audio specifications
The Enco X4 use an 11mm dynamic woofer and a 6mm tweeter in each earbud. They support Hi-Res Audio Wireless and spatial audio. Supported audio codecs include AAC, SBC, LHDC and LC3.
The earbuds offer several ANC settings, including deep, medium and light modes. Users can also choose transparency or adaptive noise cancellation. Oppo claims the ANC system can block up to 99.8% of everyday noise. Actual results will depend on the surrounding environment and how the earbuds fit.
For calls, each earbud uses a four-microphone arrangement comprising three silicon microphones and one voice pickup unit (VPU) microphone. AI-based call noise reduction aims to improve voice clarity in noisy surroundings.
Connectivity includes Bluetooth 6.1, with a stated range of up to 10 metres. The earbuds can connect to two devices simultaneously and work with Android and iOS devices. This can help users switch between a laptop and smartphone without repeatedly pairing their earbuds.
Oppo Enco X4 battery life and charging
Each earbud houses a 65mAh battery, while the charging case contains a 576mAh battery. Oppo claims up to 13 hours of playback on the earbuds alone and up to 53 hours with the case. These figures apply when using the AAC codec with ANC switched off.
With LHDC enabled, the company rates battery life at up to 10 hours on a single charge and 42 hours with the case. Playback time will vary with codec selection, noise cancellation and usage.
The charging case supports USB Type-C wired charging and wireless charging. Oppo says a wired connection can fully charge the earbuds in around 55 minutes. Charging the case takes approximately 65 minutes.
Each earbud weighs 5.6g and carries an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance. The case weighs 41.8g, bringing the combined weight to 53g.
The Oppo Enco X4 offer a mix of audio features, flexible noise cancellation and extended battery life. Their appeal will depend on real-world sound quality, ANC performance and comfort. At their launch price, these factors will matter as much as the advertised specifications.
