OnePlus Nord CE 6 vs Motorola Edge 70: Reasons to Buy
- Motorola feels more balanced, while OnePlus feels more utility-focused
- OnePlus offers a huge 8000mAh battery and gaming-focused features
- Motorola delivers stronger performance and a lighter design
- OnePlus focuses more on durability and battery life
- Motorola brings cleaner software and better camera versatility
If you are planning to buy a phone around ₹30,000, I think these two phones will easily end up on your shortlist. The OnePlus Nord CE 6 focuses heavily on battery life, gaming features, and ruggedness. The Motorola Edge 70 takes a different route. It focuses more on comfort, design, cameras, and an overall balanced experience. On paper, both phones look strong. But after looking at the specifications and usage approach, I feel they are built for very different users.
Design comparison
This round felt easy to me. The Motorola Edge 70 immediately stands out because of its ultra-thin body. At just 5.99mm and 159 grams, it feels surprisingly light. During long usage, that difference matters. The vegan leather finish also adds grip and feels premium in hand.
The OnePlus Nord CE 6 goes in another direction. It feels more rugged and durable. You get military-grade certification and stronger IP protection ratings. However, at 215 grams, I think the phone starts feeling heavy after longer usage. If durability matters most, choose OnePlus. For comfort, Motorola wins.
Winner: Motorola Edge 70
Display comparison
Both phones bring AMOLED displays with high refresh rates. The Nord CE 6 uses a 144Hz AMOLED display with a gaming-focused touch response system. Scrolling feels fast and gaming interactions feel immediate.
Motorola uses a 1.5K Extreme AMOLED panel with Pantone colour validation and 4500 nits brightness. To me, colours looked more natural and the viewing experience felt more premium. OnePlus feels built for gaming. Motorola feels better for everything else.
Winner: Motorola Edge 70
Performance comparison
Benchmark numbers tell a very different story here. The Motorola Edge 70 crosses 1.42 million on AnTuTu, while the Nord CE 6 reaches around 1.14 million. Motorola also scores higher in Geekbench tests.
However, I think OnePlus deserves some credit. During real usage, the Nord CE 6 remains smooth and gaming optimisations help maintain consistency. Still, if I had to choose purely for performance and gaming headroom, Motorola wins.
Winner: Motorola Edge 70
Camera comparison
This becomes interesting.
OnePlus keeps things simple with a 50MP main camera and focuses on natural colour output. Photos look realistic and portrait shots remain dependable. Motorola, however, offers a triple 50MP setup. The ultrawide camera and additional zoom flexibility make the setup more versatile. I also liked Motorola’s colour consistency and portrait tuning slightly more. If photography matters, I feel Motorola gives users more options.
Winner: Motorola Edge 70
Battery comparison
Battery life is where OnePlus fights back strongly.
The Nord CE 6 packs a massive 8000mAh battery. During testing, it comfortably lasted close to two days. Motorola uses a smaller 5000mAh battery. This is not even close. If battery backup matters more than anything else, OnePlus becomes very hard to ignore.
Winner: OnePlus Nord CE 6
Verdict: Motorola Edge 70 wins for most buyers
The OnePlus Nord CE 6 does a lot right. The battery life is excellent, durability feels stronger, and gaming optimisations work well.
But if someone asked me directly which phone I would buy under ₹30,000, I think I would choose the Motorola Edge 70. It wins more categories that people use every day. You get a lighter design, stronger performance, better cameras, a premium display, and a cleaner overall experience.
