Lava has launched the Virat Curve 5G in India as its latest smartphone in the Virat series.

The new phone combines a curved AMOLED display with a large battery and a MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chipset.

It also brings an unusual feature at this price. The phone has a mini display on the rear panel.

Users can customise the small screen with text and emojis. It can also show notifications and other useful information.

The Lava Virat Curve 5G will go on sale through Flipkart from September 28.

Lava Virat Curve 5G Price in India

The Lava Virat Curve 5G is priced at Rs 23,999 in India.

The phone comes in a single configuration with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.

However, bank discounts can bring the effective price down to Rs 19,999.

The smartphone is available in three colour options. These include Ellora Slate, Heritage Indigo and Makrana Ivory.

Sales will begin on Flipkart from September 28.

120Hz Curved AMOLED Display

The Lava Virat Curve 5G features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ curved AMOLED display.

The panel has a 1,080×2,400-pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It also offers a 394ppi pixel density.

The display covers 100 percent of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. Lava claims peak brightness of up to 1,100 nits.

The rear mini display is one of the phone’s more distinctive features.

It can show the volume level, battery percentage, time, emojis and other notifications. This allows users to check selected information without unlocking the main display.

Dimensity 7100 Powers the Phone

The Lava Virat Curve 5G uses the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chipset.

The processor is built on a 6nm process and is paired with 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM.

The phone comes with 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Users also get support for an additional 6GB of virtual RAM.

For software, the smartphone runs Android 16.

Lava promises two years of OS upgrades and three years of security updates.

50MP Sony Camera on the Back

For photography, the Lava Virat Curve 5G features a 50-megapixel primary rear camera.

The main sensor is a Sony IMX752 unit with electronic image stabilisation.

For selfies and video calls, the phone gets a 13-megapixel front camera. It also includes a screen flash for low-light selfies.

The available information does not specify a secondary rear camera, so the camera setup should not be described as a dual-camera system.

6,000mAh Battery With 45W Charging

Battery capacity is another major highlight of the Lava Virat Curve 5G.

The phone packs a 6,000mAh battery with support for 45W charging.

However, Lava ships a 33W charger in the box.

The company claims up to 55 hours of talk time and 720 hours of standby time. It also claims up to 660 minutes of YouTube playback on a single charge.

These figures are company claims and can vary with real-world usage.

IP64 Rating and Military-Grade Certification

The Lava Virat Curve 5G carries an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.

It also has MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification.

The phone includes an in-display fingerprint sensor and supports face unlock.

Other sensors include an IR blaster, gyroscope, accelerometer, proximity sensor and ambient light sensor.

The handset measures 162.26×73.51×8.55mm and weighs 184 grams.

With its curved AMOLED display, large battery, rear mini screen and Sony camera sensor, the Lava Virat Curve 5G brings several notable features to the sub-Rs 25,000 segment.
