Samsung is expanding its latest Galaxy AI experience to older flagship phones. The Galaxy S25 series has received the second One UI 9.0 beta update, and it brings four new Galaxy AI features that were initially introduced on newer Galaxy devices.

The update includes Call Brief, Custom Cards in Now Brief, Now Nudge and My FanCam. Along with these features, Samsung is also addressing bugs and improving the overall stability of the beta software.

The move gives Galaxy S25 users access to some of the newer AI tools without requiring them to upgrade to Samsung’s latest flagship hardware.

Four new AI features coming to Galaxy S25

Call Brief

Call Brief is designed to provide additional context while you are on a call.

The feature can display relevant information and related events directly on the call screen. This could make it easier to keep track of details during conversations without having to leave the call and search for information elsewhere.

For users who regularly handle work calls, appointments or event-related conversations, this could make the calling experience more useful.

Custom Cards in Now Brief

Samsung is also expanding Now Brief with Custom Cards.

The feature lets users build personalised daily briefings around information they actually want to see. Users can select data from apps such as Samsung Health, Samsung Weather and YouTube, then decide when the customised card should appear in Now Brief.

This gives users more control over what Samsung’s daily briefing presents instead of relying only on the default information.

Now Nudge

Now Nudge takes a more contextual approach to AI assistance.

It analyses what is currently displayed on the screen and can suggest relevant actions or next steps in real time. The idea is to provide assistance without forcing users to switch to another application.

This could be particularly useful when the next action depends on what is already visible on the screen.

My FanCam

For content creators and anyone recording events, My FanCam could be one of the more interesting additions.

The feature can identify and track a specific person in a video and automatically reframe the footage around them. Importantly, it can work with videos that are already stored on the phone, meaning users do not necessarily need to record the video with the feature enabled.

That could make it useful for situations such as concerts, sports events or group recordings where one person needs to remain the focus of the footage.

Features first arrived on newer Galaxy phones

These four AI tools are not entirely new to Samsung’s ecosystem. They originally debuted with newer Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy S26 series and Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8 series.

Samsung is now bringing them to the Galaxy S25 lineup through the One UI 9 beta. The expansion suggests that Samsung is using software updates to extend some of its newer AI capabilities to hardware that can support them.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy S25 FE are also receiving these AI features with their second One UI 9 beta updates.

One UI 9 beta is still testing
