The machine arrives with top-end specifications, including Nvidia’s RTX 5090 Laptop GPU, Intel’s latest Core Ultra processor, and a 4K 240Hz mini-LED display.
The latest ROG Strix Scar 18 targets users looking for desktop-level gaming power in a portable form factor. Asus is also leaning heavily into AI-focused features, advanced thermal upgrades, and high-refresh-rate gaming experiences with this release.

The Asus ROG Strix Scar 18 features an 18-inch 4K ROG Nebula HDR mini-LED display with a 3,840×2,400 resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate. Asus says the panel includes more than 2,000 dimming zones and can reach peak HDR brightness levels of up to 1,600 nits.
