Asus has launched the Chromebook CX15 (CX1505CTA) in India at Rs. 47,990. The new Chromebook targets students, professionals and everyday users. It combines ChromeOS with an Intel N50 processor and Google’s latest AI tools. Additionally, buyers get a three-month Google AI Pro membership that includes Gemini, NotebookLM, AI features across Google Workspace and 5TB of cloud storage.
The laptop also features a 15.6-inch Full HD display, Wi-Fi 6 connectivity and a battery that is claimed to last up to 12.5 hours on a single charge.
Google AI is the biggest highlight
The Chromebook CX15 comes bundled with a three-month Google AI Pro membership. As a result, users get access to Gemini, NotebookLM, AI features in Gmail, Docs and Sheets, Google Flow, Nano Banana image generation, advanced Google Photos editing tools, YouTube Premium Lite and 5TB of cloud storage.
Moreover, ChromeOS provides automatic software and security updates. Therefore, users can enjoy a simpler and more secure computing experience without frequent manual updates.
Designed for everyday productivity
The Asus Chromebook CX15 sports a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS NanoEdge display with an anti-glare coating. It offers 300 nits of brightness and an 87 percent screen-to-body ratio for an immersive viewing experience.
Under the hood, the laptop runs on the Intel Processor N50 with Intel UHD Graphics. It also packs 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of eMMC storage. While it is not built for demanding creative workloads or gaming, it should comfortably handle web browsing, online classes, office work and media streaming.
Connectivity and battery
The Chromebook offers Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity. It also includes two USB Type-C ports with Power Delivery and display output. Additionally, users get a USB Type-A port, HDMI 1.4 and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
For security, Asus has included a Titan-C security chip and a Kensington Nano Security Slot. Meanwhile, the laptop features a 720p webcam with a physical privacy shutter, built-in microphones and stereo speakers.
Powering the device is a 42Wh battery with support for 45W USB Type-C charging. Asus claims the laptop can deliver up to 12.5 hours of battery life. Therefore, it should easily last through a typical work or study day.

The Chromebook CX15 weighs 1.59kg and features a spill-resistant chiclet keyboard with 1.35mm key travel. It also meets the US MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability standard. As a result, it is suitable for students and users who travel frequently.
The laptop is available in a Pure Grey finish through the Asus eShop, Asus Exclusive Stores, ROG Stores, authorised retail partners, Reliance Digital and other leading retailers. Buyers can also avail of no-cost EMI options starting at Rs. 3,999 per month.
