Acer Swift Air 14 is Acer’s latest ultra-thin AI laptop announced at Computex 2026. The new laptop targets users looking for a lightweight Windows alternative to Apple’s MacBook Air while also bringing long battery life, Intel AI processors, and a colorful design approach.
At the same event, Acer also introduced the Swift Spin 14 AI, a more powerful convertible laptop with Copilot+ PC capabilities and a 360-degree hinge.
What makes the Acer Swift Air 14 different?
The Acer Swift Air 14 focuses heavily on portability and battery life. Acer says the laptop weighs just 2.76 pounds, making it one of the lighter AI-focused Windows laptops announced this year.
The design also stands out because Acer is offering the device in four colors including sage green, frost blue, blossom pink, and lilac purple. That gives the Acer Swift Air 14 a more youthful and lifestyle-focused appearance compared to traditional business laptops.
Meanwhile, the laptop uses Intel Core Series 3 processors, going up to the Intel Core 7 processor 350. Acer says the machine supports up to 40 platform TOPS for AI workloads, while the dedicated NPU delivers up to 17 TOPS.
The device comes with up to 16GB RAM and up to 512GB SSD storage by default. However, users can expand storage up to 1TB later.
How good is the battery and display?
Battery life is one of Acer’s biggest claims here. According to the company, the Acer Swift Air 14 can deliver up to 19 hours of video playback. Under the heavier MobileMark30 benchmark, that number reportedly drops to 12 hours.
Acer also says the laptop supports fast charging and can go from 0 to 50 percent in 30 minutes.
On the front, the laptop includes a 14-inch display with a 1920 x 1200 resolution and up to a 120Hz refresh rate. That should help smoother scrolling and animations compared to standard 60Hz panels.
What is the Swift Spin 14 AI offering?
Alongside the Acer Swift Air 14, Acer introduced the Swift Spin 14 AI. This model targets users looking for more performance and flexibility.
The convertible laptop features a 360-degree hinge and supports up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor 386H. Acer classifies it as a Copilot+ PC and says it can deliver up to 100 platform TOPS, with the dedicated NPU handling up to 50 TOPS.
The device supports up to 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD storage. It also includes a fingerprint reader, which the Swift Air 14 lacks.
Additionally, Acer offers optional stylus support with 4,096 pressure levels and shading support for creators and note-taking users.
Acer says the Acer Swift Air 14 starts at $699 in the US. The entry-level variant includes an Intel Core 5 processor, 8GB RAM, and 512GB storage. The laptop will launch in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa in July before reaching North America in August 2026.
With thinner designs, AI-focused processors, and longer battery claims becoming central to Windows laptops, the Acer Swift Air 14 reflects how PC makers are reshaping lightweight laptops for the AI PC era.
