Realme Neo 8 Breaks Cover With Transparent Back and 165Hz OLED

Realme Neo 8 Colour Options Teased

Realme has officially confirmed that the Realme Neo 8 will arrive in three colour options — Cyber Purple, Mecha Gray, and Origin White. While each shade carries a distinct personality, all variants share the same transparent rear panel paired with RGB lighting.

Cyber Purple leans into a futuristic gaming aesthetic, while Mecha Gray opts for a darker, industrial look. Meanwhile, Origin White offers a clean finish that highlights the phone’s internal design elements. Across all variants, VOOC branding appears in orange, adding contrast to the transparent back.

Transparent RGB Design With Gaming Cues

The Realme Neo 8 embraces a see-through rear design that reveals internal detailing. The camera island carries HYPERIMAGE+ branding, while the signature Awakening Halo RGB lighting sits nearby. Additionally, visible NFC labeling confirms contactless support.

This design approach clearly targets esports and performance-focused users, without straying into overly aggressive styling.

Realme Neo 8 Display and Build Details

On the front, the Realme Neo 8 will feature a 165Hz Samsung M14 OLED display. Realme claims the panel uses next-generation luminescent materials that improve efficiency while extending panel lifespan.

For durability, the handset is said to include Crystal Armor Glass, along with large R-angle corners for improved ergonomics. An ultrasonic 3D fingerprint sensor is also confirmed.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Power and Camera Setup

Under the hood, the Realme Neo 8 will run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. According to the company, the phone has crossed 3.58 million points on AnTuTu, positioning it firmly in flagship territory.

In terms of photography, the device will pack a triple rear camera setup, including a sensor capable of 120x zoom, likely achieved through a periscope telephoto lens.

Launch Timeline

Realme is set to officially unveil the phone in China on January 22. More details around pricing and availability are expected closer to launch.
