Tata Motors, India’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturer, has inaugurated its latest registered vehicle scrapping facility (RVSF) in Guwahati. Named ‘Re.Wi.Re – Recycle with Respect,’ this advanced facility is designed to dismantle up to 15,000 end-of-life vehicles annually using sustainable, eco-friendly processes. Operated in partnership with Axom Platinum Scrappers, this facility is capable of scrapping both passenger and commercial vehicles of all brands.
This marks Tata Motors’ seventh RVSF in India, following successful launches in Jaipur, Bhubaneswar, Surat, Chandigarh, the Delhi NCR region, and Pune.
The grand inauguration event was attended by esteemed dignitaries, including Shri. Advanced & Fully Digitalized Facility
Each Re.Wi.Re facility is fully digitalized, offering seamless and paperless operations. The Guwahati RVSF is equipped with cell-type and line-type dismantling stations for commercial and passenger vehicles. Specialized zones have been designed for the safe dismantling of critical components, including tyres, batteries, fuel, oils, liquids, and gases.
Every vehicle undergoes a meticulous documentation and dismantling process, aligning with India’s vehicle scrappage policy to ensure the responsible disposal of all components. The Re.Wi.Re initiative represents a groundbreaking step towards integrating sustainable practices into India’s automotive ecosystem.
