Asus introduces ROG Xbox Ally series in India
Asus has launched two new handheld gaming consoles — the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X — in India. The new devices are designed for gamers who want the power of a gaming PC in a portable body. Both models are powered by AMD’s latest Ryzen Z2 series processors, delivering improved performance and energy efficiency for extended gaming sessions.
Pricing and availability in India
The ROG Xbox Ally X costs ₹1,14,990, and the ROG Xbox Ally starts at ₹69,990. Pre-orders are open on Asus and ROG stores, Asus e-shop, Amazon, Vijay Sales, and authorized partners. Sales begin October 16, 2025.
Premium display with gamer-focused design
The ROG Xbox Ally series features a 7-inch Full HD IPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It supports AMD FreeSync Premium, ensuring smooth and tear-free gameplay. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, which adds durability.
Asus has also paid attention to comfort. The consoles feature contoured grips, hall-effect analog triggers, and customizable buttons. With HD haptics, every control feels more immersive and responsive.
Two variants, two gaming experiences
The top-end ROG Xbox Ally X runs on the AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor. It includes a large 80Wh battery and a dedicated NPU that uses AI to optimize performance and power use.
The standard ROG Xbox Ally features the AMD Ryzen Z2 A processor with a 60Wh battery, offering a balanced mix of power and portability. Both models come with up to 24GB LPDDR5X RAM, 1TB PCIe SSD storage, and WiFi 6E for faster online gameplay.
Enhanced visuals and seamless gaming
Gamers can enjoy sharper visuals with Radeon technologies like FSR, RSR, and AFMF. These improve image quality and boost frame rates for a smoother gaming experience.
Both consoles run Windows 11, allowing users to play their PC games directly. Moreover, the Xbox full-screen interface makes navigation easy with gamepad controls.
