HMD has launched the 2660 Flip Senior Edition in the UK, bringing an AI companion to its existing feature phone design. The handset builds on the HMD 2660 Flip, which debuted in March 2025, and targets older adults who want a simple phone with additional conversational support.

The new model introduces Mary, an AI companion developed by inTouch. It can answer questions, hold conversations and play games. A dedicated physical button provides direct access to the service, while the phone retains its removable battery, 4G connectivity and clamshell design.

HMD 2660 Flip Senior Edition price and availability

The HMD 2660 Flip Senior Edition costs GBP 79.99 in the UK, approximately ₹10,100 based on the conversion provided in the source. It comes in a Cosy Black colour option.

The phone includes a five-hour trial of the inTouch AI companion service. After the trial, users must pay GBP 16.90 per month, approximately ₹2,100. The subscription can be cancelled at any time, according to the company.

HMD has not announced an India launch or Indian pricing. The UK price conversion should therefore not be treated as an expected India retail price.

Mary AI companion and key features

Mary is designed specifically for older adults. Users can ask questions, chat with the assistant and play games. The service can also remember previous conversations to make future interactions more personal.

Mary speaks more slowly and gives users additional time to respond. The dedicated button makes it easier to access the companion without navigating through multiple menus. According to the supplied details, the service is available around the clock.

The phone features a 2.8-inch QVGA main display and a 1.77-inch QQVGA external screen. Its flip design allows users to answer calls by opening the handset and end them by closing it.

Under the hood, the HMD 2660 Flip Senior Edition uses a Unisoc T107 processor with 64MB of RAM and 128MB of internal storage. Users can expand storage by up to 32GB through a microSD card. The phone runs S30+ software.

Battery, camera and connectivity

The handset has a removable 1,450mAh battery. HMD rates it for up to 8.1 hours of talk time. Its removable design may also make battery replacement more convenient than on phones with sealed batteries.

For photography, the phone includes a 0.3-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash. Other features include a speaker, two microphones, an FM radio, an MP3 player and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Connectivity options include 4G, Bluetooth 5.0 and USB Type-C charging. The phone also carries an IP54 rating for protection against dust and water splashes.

It measures 198.9 x 55 x 19mm when closed and weighs 136.4g.

The HMD 2660 Flip Senior Edition combines traditional feature-phone controls with an AI companion aimed at older users. However, the recurring subscription is an important consideration. Buyers should also check the service’s supported languages, privacy settings and availability in their region before relying on Mary for regular assistance.
