Oura Ring 5 has launched in India, bringing AI-powered wellness insights, upgraded sensors and new health-monitoring features to the company’s latest smart ring. The successor to the Oura Ring 4 also promises a smaller design and up to nine days of battery life.

The new smart ring focuses on helping users understand sleep, activity and changes in their health trends. Its features include Blood Pressure Signals, Nighttime Breathing monitoring, real-time activity tracking and personalised AI recommendations.

Oura Ring 5 price in India and availability

Oura Ring 5 starts at ₹39,900 for the Silver and Black colour options. The Gold, Deep Rose, Stealth and Brushed Silver variants cost ₹50,900.

The smart ring is available in sizes 6 through 13. Each unit comes with a charger designed for its specific size. Interested buyers can currently pre-order the device through Amazon and Croma retail stores across India.

Oura also offers an optional membership for ₹599 per month. The subscription provides access to additional features and insights. Buyers should check which features require membership before purchasing the ring.

Oura Ring 5 features and health tracking

Oura says the Ring 5 is 40% smaller than the Ring 4. It features a lightweight titanium construction and an improved physical vapour deposition coating for better scratch resistance. The device carries an IP68 rating and offers water resistance up to 100 metres.

The ring also introduces a redesigned sensor architecture with low-profile sensor domes, upgraded LEDs and 12 enhanced signal pathways. According to Oura, these changes aim to improve measurement accuracy across different finger shapes and skin tones.

One of its main additions is Health Radar. The feature builds on the existing Symptom Radar system and analyses biometric trends. It includes Blood Pressure Signals, which can identify trends associated with cardiovascular strain. Nighttime Breathing monitoring provides a 30-day view of breathing disturbances during sleep.

However, Blood Pressure Signals should not be confused with a conventional blood pressure measurement. The supplied specifications do not establish that the ring provides systolic and diastolic readings. Users should consult a healthcare professional for medical assessment.

Oura Ring 5 also supports Live Activity Tracking, allowing users to monitor workouts in real time through the Oura app. Its expanded metabolic health tools include GLP-1 Insights, designed for people taking GLP-1 medications.

Other additions include Oura Health Records, which combines clinical health data with information collected by the ring. The company has also introduced AI-enabled healthcare support through a partnership with Counsel Health. Its enhanced Advisor AI system provides personalised health recommendations.

The ring adds a Locate feature to help users find misplaced rings and charging cases. A Data Deletion tool also lets users remove selected periods of health data.

Oura Ring 5 battery life and durability

Oura claims the Ring 5 can last up to nine days on a single charge. Actual battery life will vary depending on the ring size and usage.

The combination of a titanium body, water resistance and a smaller design could appeal to people who want continuous wellness tracking without wearing a smartwatch. However, buyers should consider the ongoing membership cost and confirm which health insights are available without a subscription.

Oura Ring 5’s key appeal lies in combining discreet wearable hardware with long-term health trends and AI-supported guidance. Its usefulness will ultimately depend on the quality of those insights, the features available in India and how clearly the app explains the data it collects.
